  2. Thanks! Yeap they are stitched all the way through. Stitching through thick, hard and stiff layers of leather is no joke. My hands almost broke out in blisters. The last layer at the heel was glued on though. I figured the heel usually wears off pretty fast and I don't want my stitches to be worn through too quickly so I slapped on that extra layer.

about to ask the same question with sean_afk

did you punch all the stitching holes altogether while the leather stacks? or layer by layer?

  3. @inthemix_

    hello,

We usually estimate 7-10 working days to the States.

and all of that also depends on how the speed of custom clearance in US.

and we always use EMS Service.

  4. Yeh, I added up the other night that after printing costs, sampling costs, entertainment costs (web costs were kindly covered by Vincent at TDV), flying me and my family out to San Fran, and then a year later to Singapore and Jakarta, this contest will personally cost me about $15k.

Haven't told my wife that yet

All going to be worth it, Gav.

Any tips for the contestants that wearing 19oz+ in tropical country?

    Since you've experienced that :D

  5. I must be crazy to notice that this is the new thread for leather crafting just now!

Keep the fuss on the front page aside, I'm happy to be able once again seeing all of great Artisans in superfuture contribute about leatherworks. For me, really an eyegasm and inspiring piece of art.

Well, many may have known that I am one of the men behind VOYEJ, sometimes I really would like to post our products, but then again I cannot really post it up in here that much because we mainly run the business (as in the brand, design, material sourcing, & QC). We are not literally the true artisans :)

But to be able to run a good business up until now, me myself also have to know deep knowledge about several techniques, tools, steps, etc.

Anyway, sorry about the rant. Consider this post like a "Hello" from me in 2013 :)

Success & blessings throughout our Journey ahead.

    Regards,

    Lucas
