  1. it all appears to be in order at my end...? is anyone still struggling to get access?

try closing the dropbox program and re-opening.

Jodorowsky's Dune has not been viewed - and it was a film i was very interested to see when the trailers first emerged but never got around to.

lets give snowpiercer a couple more days - then upload JD. do you have a copy or would you like me to source one?

  2. dunno why i just discovered this thread... i've been dying to watch and discuss movies. I pretty much watch trailers and read reviews all day. can i get access to the dropbox? thx!

“Now those psychedelic years seem far away; I neither miss them nor regret them.  Drugs can clear away the past, enhance the present; toward the inner garden, they can only point the way.  Lacking the temper of ascetic discipline, the drug vision remains a sort of dream that cannot be brought over into daily life.  Old mists may be banished, that is true, but the alien chemical agent forms another mist, maintaining the separation of the “I†from the experience of the One.â€

the night before. It's been quite the movie weekend.

I'm with Jack on the Rover. Worth a watch, especially for armchair travel as an American. There were some gorgeous shots of the Australian countryside, and some great on the road sequences as well. Easily the highlight of the movie for me was the soundtrack, though.

The biggest criticism I can make of the movie is that it felt like it owed a too much to No Country For Old Men regarding its pacing and tone, and suffers losses in nearly every category if you were to compare the two.

what did you think of the dance of reality??

  5. Was The Rover that good Jack?

haha no no i have clearly lost the plot. completely forgot that i had already posted it.

i did enjoy it though. not ground breaking but definitely worth a viewing. the screening also had a Q&A with David Michod which sans the hipster wannabe film students asking stupid question was quiet interesting.
