  1. ^those I guess. That whole pic is pretty strange, like blue and black camo on the denim.

Yeah, that's what I meant. But then the outdoor pics don't really show those camo patches so I'm assuming it's just the lighting.

  2. guys, is fabfour the only place i can go to buy skull?

how about singapore? is there any shop selling those?

really want to try em on first.

    .

You can get them here in Bangkok too :D - though there's only one shop that I know of.

BTW count me in for a Thai denim head. Been dragging my rain-soaked ass in PBJ 007 around the streets for the whole week.

  3. I tried asking the guy how long they have been worn on average, etc. but his English was pretty limited, I did find out that they weren't washed yet and I can feel the grime on it. Might go back in a week and I'll try to take pictures of all the denim. Denim is nice and heavy, real good quality.

    .

From my experience it won't take these people more than 6 months. A friend of mine asked his gardener to wear his jeans and the guy killed them within 4 months.

You might also wanna consider boiling them. :D I bought a pair like this quite a while ago (retired them 4-5 years ago) and they still stunk even after a few washes.

  4. Has anyone heard of a brand called Seven Frog? (yes, with no 's')

I got it as a gift from a Japanese friend of mine after I told him I'm into Japanese denim.

    The parcel says "JEANS"

I'm guessing the arctuate on the right back pocket represents number 7. Denim is hairy and quite light; I'd say around 12-13 Oz. The silhouette is pretty much a slim straight. (Felt like a DH 19cm with higher rise when worn)

Buttons feel pretty flimsy I think they are made of aluminium.

Very weird looking selvedge. Also unfortunately no chain stitching.

    Selvedge-Lines.jpg

Hidden selvedge in the coin pocket.

Pocket bags are plain yellowish white with this cutsy green stamp.

    Front-Pocket.jpg

Inner stitching on back pockets starts pretty wide and narrows down towards the end. I also kinda like the curvy top. Nifty.

Would have been preferable if these were Denim Junkie or Somet or TFH. :P Oh well, at least this is not half bad.

  5. Interesting. Is the site supposed to have Arabic (?) text or is something wrong with my browser? Jeans look nice, I'm feeling that belt loop and pocket stitching.

Nah, the language is Thai but it's also possible that your browser doesn't support the language, hence, displaying some weird alien language.

If you browse around you can see there are bits of info in English here and there. Apologies for that since me no speak England good and all those denim jargons are killing me :D.

There will be more English content coming in the near future though so do keep an eye out.

  6. Is there anywhere to buy them except for thailand? I saw those before they look way sweet, but I can't find them.

    .

I believe the first batch's already run out except for maybe a few pairs in a shop called Pronto in Thailand. However, there will be a second batch coming out as well as a limited edition in the coming months.

If the first batch was any indication I'd say you'll have to pre-order in a clothing forum (unfortunately it's in Thai) and you can either pick the jeans up yourself or have it shipped; not too sure if any pair was shipped internationally though.

ps. PM me if you want any more info (eg. forum address, translation, etc.) so we don't litter this thread with irrelevant chit chat :D

  7. It is a Thai brand (as some of you might be able to tell from the lining's pattern) called 'Indigo Skin'.

Currently there are only 2 models; slim fit and regular bootcut, and the stitching on them differs slightly. The pair shown is a slim fit and it is one of the 116 made in the first batch. :D

  8. ;)

Probably a little loud for some but, what a heck, I like it. BTW the stitching's only on the left pocket though - the other one is blank.

Took these pics in different lighting so the colour is't really accurate. The real thing falls somewhere between the two pics.

  9. G!zM() 17, that's the best denim jacket fit i've yet to see!

It looks quite thin compared to most others?

Thanks, Opie. I think it's more to do with the camera angle - the jacket is actually a tad too big because, again, it's been 5-6 years and I was waaaay chubbier at the time :o. You can tell by just looking at how the shoulder lines don't really sit on my shoulder  .

  10. Is the fading supposed to look like natural fading, or is it intentional that it's obviously made that way? It kinda looks cool; I'm just saying it doesn't look like natural fading.

I guess the fading wasn't intended to look natural and, yeah, I bought the jacket mostly because the fade looks cool. Little did I know that it's a little over the top when worn and doesn't really suit me - so that's why the jacket's been spending most of its time in my closet. :P

  11. Don't know if this jacket is good enough for this thread but I feel a little sorry having left it in the closet for so long I might as well give it some publicity.:D

Levi's engineered jeans about 5-6 years old

    IMG_7502.jpg

I've been having problem trying to find a pair of jeans that matches the jacket apart from black. Any suggestion?

  12. Hope I don't get flamed for this!

Well, I was clearing out my closet the other day and found a pair of fake Levi's I bought many many years ago :D - so I thought I might as well just share the pics for those people who want to see how the fade is on a fake pair.

I wasn't a denim head back then so I couldn't even tell whether it was authentic or not when I bought it. However, I do not endorse using fake products so please spare me.:P

Tab on back pocket and double (triple??) chain stitching.

  13. Replying to Baeyer-Drewson :

Got it for around 40£ iirc . Not exactly cheap but I think it's worth it. The shop I bought it from also has a few other belts with similar kind of pattern but I chose this one because I'm obsessed with Japanese stuffs.

While we're on the topic - has anyone experienced this water-stain issue before? I'm wondering if the colour is going to even out with wear. Also, would oiling (tanning ) the belt help with the matter?

Here are a few more belts I use in rotation.

This one is from Diesel. I know it doesn't conform to SUFU taste ;) but I bought it over 4 years ago. I didn't even know raw denim exists! :D It still holds up pretty well though.

    IMG_7297.jpg

This one is from Dapper (a local brand here in Thailand).

  14. I bought this one in London a while back but haven't really been wearing it since I soaked myself in a splash ride which has left a stain on pretty much the whole lower half of the belt. Tried oiling the belt to even out the stain but I guess the result isn't as effective as I'd hoped.

  15. just arrived - PBJ XX-007

if it wouldn't be for the waist, I would definitely size down.

lets see what a hot soak can change!

From my experience I'd say it's gonna fit you perfectly after soak - that is if you don't mind the leg flare :D .

  16. Hi guys, I'm new here.:D I've been reading this thread for a while and it really got me interested in PBJ so a few weeks ago I took the plunge and bought myself a pair of xx-007. I also saw the xx010 but the local shop I went to only has it in size33 which, sadly, is a little too big for me.

Mine are size 32 but felt pretty loose so I hot soaked them. As I was flipping them inside out I noticed that there were white lines of starch where ever the denim rubbed against itself. I know it's been mentioned a few pages back but the starch on the 007 is really something.

    Obligatory self standing shot

    IMG_6960.jpg

I'm quite inexperienced about this whole soaking thing but is it normal for the buttons to be oxidised after a soak? (look closely at the fly)

Fit pics (x-post from the fit and description thread)

    Fitfrontandback.jpg

The waist now fits perfectly but leg openings are way too big for my liking so I got it tapered to 7". Here's how they fit now

    IMG_0574.jpg

I've never worn slubby denim before but I'm loving it on my 007.
