as a matter of fact, the hard wearing characteristics of Iron Heart jeans is the single reason I haven't owned a pair in 5 years...that's not an attribute I particularly care for in a pair of jeans.  That doesn't make the truth any less true though.

Look into the 25oz. jeans. Honestly: it's the most brutal thing out there that fades beautifully...

The best shirt I've ever seen is still the IHSH-16 in khaki... I'm stoked to have it in my wardrobe again and am expecting a baby brother in indigo next week... After having sold the 13, I was still looking for an indigo chambray, so this is exellent news...

The IH forum has done wonders for the brand... I love the way we all get to interact, discuss new drops, and even suggest our own items... Recently a Norwegian/ French member suggested a superblack pair of 666S'es... They're being produced as we speak... Thàt is fucking awesome... Especially cause I will end up buying it... Gotta have that Cash uniform baby...

I too remember the old days where the IH site was so basic it hurt... I couldn't believe the prices though... This hobby, no, PASSION of ours is costly... But hey, it could be worse: we could be doing meth!..

I'm not sure what caused the backlash though... Hell I even forgot what we're discussing... But I guess now that IH has a bigger fanbase, some of them Belgian and rather hardline, and now that they get a lot more exposure, it's only natural that it created its core of haters as well...

But judging by how this discussion is going, I think we're all too old for this shit, and we respect eachother's choices... And I swear I'm not a hippy...

I've worn tons of Sammies and FH... Have been eyeing Strike Gold jeans for a while now... But the main problem for me is the rise of ALL the models... I mean, seriously, SG has NO high rise models... Samurai?.. All mid rise... I'm talking tapered, slim models... FH?.. Forget about it...

If you're actually gonna work 4,5 times a week in your jeans, the last thing you want is a rise that is too low... My sz. 32 XHS'es have a 15.5" rise and that's perfect...

It's all about practicality for me... Whether you think 25 oz jeans are practical or not is a different discussion, of course... But I prefer it over anything I've worn on the workfloor... This includes FH 3010, FHxSE SE05BSP, Sammie 710xx, 710xx Black Knight, 0500XX, 0500VX,... The only thing I've kept are my first "serious" jeans I bought five years ago (after having fooled around with Nudies and Earnest Sewn and LVC): Atelier LaDurance Prescott darktone...

Hiya lads... I'm Seul... Most frequent and worst poster on the IH forum... Dedicated IH Fanwhore... So no unbiased post from me...

I stuck to IH after having experienced lotsa Samurai, Flat Head and even some Oni... Seeing as how I do physical labour in all my gear (yes: inc shirts in the winter), I'm very particular as how it holds up 24/7/365... Now have a pair of 666-XHS'es and some IH shirts I wouldn't trade for the world... And an FH shirt I wish would have a different cut... And have had about 5 FH shirts at least which I had to sell cause they weren't made for lads who work hard but also love their beer...

Sure: the IH forum can come across as forced, just a bunch of tossers in one big international circle jerk... But I made some friends on it... Bastards both m and f doing me favours that wouldn't happen on any other site... It's not so much about the clothes... It really isn't... And I'm not some overly naive, effin hippy... Shit I'm just an anti-social Belgian who likes to work, drink, and abuse jeans...

Also: assuming Giles (IH.UK) is doing any kind of marketing is giving the man too much credit... He's just a bloke from Gosport who has a wife with a calculator... And if anything, I don't mind giving the man my hardearned €... At least I can rely on him, and he'll always try and help me out with any- and everything...

As I promised: none of this was gonna be biased... But I love IH... The gear and the family... Like it or leave it (or have a great discussion on it here!)...
