Oh, man, I remember trying to use a rotary cutter at first. Just find a 48" straight edge, and you'll be in good shape.

Jusst send it to progressively larger people, and it will stretch just fine

I think it would only be fair to send it on a world tour, Daniel.

that is awesome, hanging out with my childhood hero.
I will confess that I was pretty damn excited, ranon. He's the Kermit that went up in one of the space shuttles- hence the suit.

Very impressive, as always, TBG!
It seems my dog has developed a taste for Obenauf's LP. I've caught her chewing on some rags, but just today, I discovered that she tore apart a tub of it and ate the contents! Luckily, it was about 3/4 used, and I just bought a backup tub. She also chewed up one of my wood slickers. I guess I'll have to make sure there is always a big rawhide bone around...

If you want waxed linen, I recommend Royalwood. I'm going to switch the their thread soon. I received a sample card, and the thread looks great, and seems to be very strong.

I know, I know I now have a saved search on Ebay.

I would kill puppies for some raw tweeds in 34"W at this point.

^Buckleguy also has the best button studs that I've found. The great part is that you can get the rivet backs in different lengths depending on the thickness of leather I'm using.

Hell yeah, ranon. Those White's look great. That's the exact makeup I'd want, except perhaps with single welt stitching.

I think even placing the top piece in the anvil while the back is hammered could ruin the plating.

I prefer stud type, but I can imagine the copper plating could get pretty mangled if they aren't screw-back.

I wouldn't size down- it's unsanforized. Just go by the measurements on Self Edge. I bought mine slightly large and did a short hot soak. The fit is perfect.

Sure would. Also, if anyone knows a good supplier of brass/nickel/copper snaps, I'd be grateful. The Tandy ones kinda suck.

In my experience, clothing doesn't shrink while drying until it is just getting to be completely dry. I think you'd be better off doing a hot soak if you need to, rather than drying. Drying can also set some annoying creases.

After the damp cloth, spend a good amount of time brushing and buffing the shell, and it will look great.

hi all,
i've been in this community for some years, decided to start a thread of our own...
This thread is more for sharing ideas than advertising. Some of your designs look like straight up ripoffs of Makr and Tanner Goods.

^My condolences on the boot! That's terrible.
I adopted a dog last week and put all of my shoes on the top shelf of my closet before she even arrived. Good thing, because I always find her chewing on the leather scraps from the garbage.

Woahoh!! Congrats, Daniel! :D Well done, man.

Oh, I wasn't implying impatience of any sort! It's just strange seeing this thread so quiet.
In the meantime, I gave my Roys another wash last weekend. I sprayed just a little stain remover on a spot of leather dye that I got on 'em, and it made a nice, bright clean spot amidst a leg of brown patina. I'll never do that again.

Welcome, Lukas!
I like the half belt back of the Blouse Chapparal.

The J Crew ones were washed and fully shrunk. I've found the different chambrays behave a little differently. I could not get the dark indigo/black verson to shrink as much as the regular indigo version.
