I was going back and forth with Gun, setting up an order. When I got to my last question, he never responded. It's been a few weeks now...

Thanks for the input, guys. I prefer my jeans to shrink to 33", and then stretch to ~34". So, if I understand your advice correctly, I think I should go with the 33W, which seem to start out at 35" (although Unionmade says the 32W measures 35"...). 9oz seems a bit lightweight, though...
Thanks for the sale info, devilish! I almost paid full retail...
Edit: Boo, they only have larger sizes left.

How fortuitous. I just met a neighbor who makes his living restoring books in his home workshop just a block from my house. He said that his leather wholesaler can get virtually any leather and will sell in small quantities.

Hey People. I am considering picking up a pair of 1915s, and would need them to lose about an inch in the waist with a warm soak. Is this common, or do you guys tend to go true to size, expecting them to stretch back out? I don't want a particularly baggy vintage fit, but I also don't want to size down two for a slim/tight fit. Cheers.

My Riders regret increases with every evo photo
Is SC making anything else in that same 301 denim right now?
Self Edge seems to have Okinawas in most sizes.

Anyone know where I might be able to pick up some nicer 4/5oz horsehide (preferably FQHH) without having to buy larger quantities?

Hah, nice SPAM jersey, tg. And the shorts are looking good... real good.

Fantastic suspenders (and everythig else), Hollows. I have all of the pieces cut for a similar pair out of tan CXL, but I haven't quite figured out the final design. Can I ask where you get your elastic webbing from? I've only salvaged some from old suspenders.
Bang. Hit the nail on the thread head. Royalwood it is. They are very nice to deal with. The color swatch on that page you've linked to shows all the colors and thicknesses really well. I use their 4 ply and their 7 ply, although I wish they had a 5 or 6--the 4 sometimes is just a hair too thin. The spools in my photo are the 4 ply.
thread mini review: Love it. Not to waxy, threads easily, cool color selection - the aforementioned 5-6 ply size missing is my only gripe. 4-ply works great for finer work and the 7 ply is nice n meaty.
Glad to hear you like their thread. I got one of their sample cards about six months ago, and keep meaning to order several colors. The thread seems super strong, and like you said, not too waxy.

That's a nice price on the Mulholland Masters. I wear my black one every time I ride my old motorbike. What a great jacket.

Well, if anyone was considering picking up the Tandy hand press and some die sets, they're all half price this month...

aries- that's my favorite shirt of all time, and first MF piece. Mine doesn't get nearly enough wear...

yeah, sufu isn't working very well for me lately. But they seem to have fixed some of the bugs...

Glad to help out, guys. Looks like the stuff is disappearing quickly...
I could use some more zissou pics in my life.

Nice snaps, corter! I owe you one for convincing me to buy that Tandy hand press. I just set 60 snaps (120 halves) in about 45 min. What a dream to use...

Well, I broke down and bought the Tandy hand press. I realized it came to $270 with a set of dies thanks to my gold membership Now, I want to put snaps on everything!

^thanks, zack white seems to be a little cheaper.
Did you try ebay? They have some vintage Rex 27 snap/rivet setters for around $50 and they have that red Tandy setter for about $170 shipped.
Yeah, I saw those Rex 27 setters, but how hard is it to find dies for different snap sizes?

Hmm, well, if there was ever an incentive to get a tax ID
Great looking tote!
And, why can I no longer subscribe to this thread?? I have to search for it every time.

I've thought about that one, corter. Between the press and the dies, it's about $350, though. Maybe they'll rent one to me for a week...

Do you guys have a preferred tool/press for setting snaps? I have a project coming up that will require about 250 snaps, and there's no way I'll be setting the all by hand.

Maybe that's why he hasn't been responding. I guess I will wait and see what other features are available...
