  1. Just want to say that I have a great respect for you and your company, I quite like Ventile, but just wondering if you ever tried Gore-Tex Pro or GT Active jackets? Because I really don't understand all those rants about membranes and sweatboxes...

My personal experience is that gt doesn't breathe well at all as your body heats up. Pit zips are a must for gt tech jackets. I don't know about the merits of supermarine (having no personal experience with it) but I do agree with the "sweatbox" comment.

  2. my og's pill around the pocket entrances and the inside face of the bottom cuffs where there is some friction with shoes. note - been wearing them for about 2 years, these are the only real issues with my pair.

  3. geez the tees went out in under a minute. have an olive camo camp coming in that i'll probably be letting go. those dudes funny in that group coaches pic. recognize rza from back in the day, now getting all the freebies being associated with of.

  4. Word of warning

IF you decide to buy a lamina pack then make sure you buy one from a FIL store/dealer direct or proxy with a receipt and NOT a reseller like conceptshop who have totally f***ed me over. My 2nd lamina pack and only 6 months old the straps have perished with stitching, padding and cord all falling apart.

conceptshop.hk won't offer any help, regardless of having spent a fortune with them in the past and Visvim will repair it if I pay, approx $300+ inc shipping

This hasn't just happened on mine either, it's a known problem with some of the lamina packs.

6 months old, carries gym kit and a 15 inch macbook pro approx 3 times a week!

taken from same thread another that has perished twice now!

btw - this is mine after it had already gone back to Visvim and been repaired. (about a year later now)

I always thought the thin corduroy lining durability was questionable. I have a 20l lamina from the same series I believe (yours looks like that burnt orange colorway? mine is dark brown think it was from the same release), but I haven't used it as a daily driver. It's really disappointing considering the price point for these packs. Mine has held up good for about 4 carry-on flights with the exception of the exterior nylon on the shoulder straps getting a bit scratched. No tears yet. I noticed that vis reversed the nylon/corduroy in some of the later lamina models so that the nylon touches your shoulder with the corduroy facing out instead. Although I doubt this has any meaningful change to durability.

The only thing I'd add is that the side buckles are pretty useless imo. In fact the shock cord snapped when I was trying to use it to strap on a compact umbrella. Visvim did send me replacement shock cord for what it's worth though -- after several emails and about a month waiting.

  5. i had that happen when i bought my first camp hat. I just hammered all the holes and it worked. That was two years ago. the new ones haven't done that

that's a great idea, going to give it a go. in that case it's probably just the particular two that i received from this season.

  6. haven't bought camp caps since '06, '07 and i like to wear them fitted. i noticed that the finish on the vent holes are not what they used to be, there are little gaps in the plastic/metal rings and every now and then i'm getting my hair caught a bit in em. not to the point where i'm losing hair but annoying enough to mention it...and i have short hair. guess i'll have to wear them looser which is not a great look for me. is it just me?

  7. so in my rush to get my order in i failed to see that the shirting fits a size larger than regular supreme button downs. anyone ever had luck cancelling/replacing part of their order from the webshop? emailed them. wishful thinking for a reply?
