  1. I've got a pair of Roy jeans- near brand new condition. Probably worn 2-3 times at most. PM me for fit & pics-

  2. A few years back I found a pair of jeans at Holt Renfrew Last call by a company called Denim Design Lab. They were labeled blank canvas and there was a cone mills - white oak hang tag advertising that the jeans were made from black seed pima cotton selvage denim. They had a blue selvage id. I bought them even though they didn't really fit because they were reduced to $59 from $450 and I loved the denim. I've been using the denim for all repairs on other jeans and I plan on using it to accent some leather projects I plan on getting to this summer. If anyone is interested I can snap some pics of the denim when I get home.

I actually scored a pair of raw DDL Cone selvage for $40 a couple of years back and have enjoyed them. Very light weight but not bad for a cheap pair of authentic Cone Mills jeans.

  3. Agreed. From what I'd read about Texas cotton, I was expecting my S0500xx (lot 12) to be amazingly slubby (like my S5000VX), but the denim is pretty clean.

Yep, the slubby texture has gradually changed to much smoother feel but the fading is pretty amazing-

  4. What is the best way to store denim? I've been opposed to folding jeans for years. So I hang them with the waistband straight across. (not trouser style with the intention of keeping a firm crease down the center of the leg.) I want no creases from hanging or folding.

My issue is that while I hang my up with the waist band straight across, they sometimes get creases an inch behind the outseam, that is almost parallel to the outseam. My Levi's LVLC 1944's have a really bad set in crease that I've tried ironing, and steaming out. I'm going to try and iron it again, and if that doesn't work I'm taking it to the dry cleaners.

Anyone have any advice? I hate seeing nice denim with creases from it being folded or hung. I mean, I wear them all the time, but 2-3 pairs have these horrible creases and it bothers me.

Just curious if anyone has any feedback. Sorry for such a boring subject matter.

    Thanks

If you're worried about outseam creases try hanging with a hook on the back belt loop.
