  1. So I've worn my 007s for a day now and the waist is stretching nominally, which is good. It definitely needs to stretch a bit more to be comfortable though. The thighs are also pretty tight. These are practically skinny jeans. I'm starting to wonder whether I should have kept the size 30s. Depending on how much the waist stretches, the size 29s are either the right size or one size too small.

That being said, I'm looking at the creases that are forming on my jeans and I'm kind of worried about the honey combs. I thought that stiff denim like this would form these tight, crisp creases -- as if one were to fold a fresh sheet of paper. But the creases on my denim aren't crisp and sharp. They're more 'thick' and wide. Dunno if I'm explaining that correctly. Bottom line is, I'm worried that my honey combs will be more 'muddy' when they fade instead of crisp, thin lines.

Anyone have any input on this?

Edit: also another annoyance is, even though I intentionally push my jeans down to sag them for crotch room, after walking around for awhile or sitting down and then moving around, the jeans will naturally rise up higher on my waist, causing the crotch region of the jeans to actually make direct contact with my crotch. This feels and looks weird, especially when I'm sitting down, because it looks like I have no crotch area at all. It's like how girls' jeans have no space between their nether regions and the denim. Any way around this? I think it may because my hip bones are wider than my upper waist, so the jeans naturally incline upwards where it will fit better, instead of wanting to stay put on my hip bones where they're tight as fuck.

  2. so will it stretch out enough in the waist such that:

    a) I can sag them low enough so my crotch wont asphyxiate

    B) I can fit shit into my front pockets

    c) it won't be too loose

    ?

  3. I got some PBJ 007s in one wash and I tried on sizes 28 29 and 30.

Size 28 was unbelievably tight and would never work out.

Size 29 is very tight, and I just barely was able to button all the buttons (on an empty stomach in the morning)

Size 30 is kinda tight, but I could see the waist stretching a bit too much for my liking.

So I'm wearing the size 29s right now and they're sitting at my hip bones right now, where my waist is the widest. Despite them being very tight (I can't put anything in my front pockets), should I wait it out and let them stretch in the waist? I like how the thighs and calves fit in the 29, but I don't like how the thighs and calves are in the 30.

These are kinda tight in the thighs, which is surprising becuase I'm really skinny and these are practically skinny jeans now.. similar to my dior 19 cm fit.

  4. just ordered some 007 one wash jeans! im excited, but I sized down so I'm expecting the waist to be fairly tight.

in the case that they're REALLY tight, should I just wear em to stretch out?

at what point do I know they're TOO tight and that I might want to size up one more?

  5. Wore it for about 2 weeks. Hot soaked once.

    Measurements:

    Waist: 15"

    Inseam: 33"

    Leg opening: 6.5"

I have a shitty rep because I asked "noob questions" in jean threads related to sizing. I have an account at StyleForum with 100% positive transactions, as well as an ebay account with 100% positive feedback. I just sold a pair of diors at SF and can refer you to the buyer for a reference.

    Price: $125

Buyer chooses and pays for shipping service of his/her choice

  6. Purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue for $1150 USD.

    European size 50 --> US size 40.

Got it professionally tailored by Tad at J.Press in Harvard square, so it fits more like a 38. Tailoring cost was $175

    - Wait suppression

    - Arm holes raised for more arm movement

I'm more of a 36-37, so this is still a bit big/loose on me despite the alterations. Still fits a lot better than it did off the rack.

Wore it maybe 10-15 times in total.

100% virgin wool. Also comes with a dust cover from saks.

Price: $850. That's a loss of $500 on my part for 2 weeks worth of wear

    Measurements:

    Shoulder: 16"

Pit-to-pit (with the buttons closed): 19"

    Sleeves: 25.5 ~ 26" (can't seem to get a consistent measurement; I'd say it's closer to 26)

Length from top of neck to bottom: 35"

Width of bottom-most area: 19" across, so 38" circumference at bottom

I'm 6'1" and 145 lbs, lanky build. Wearing a white undershirt and thick hoodie underneath.

  7. 1-2 hot soaks before starting to wear them?

so if I get the s710s in a size 31 (true to size) and hot soak them, it wont stretch back out to it's pre-soak size of 32" right?

thanks guys, i appreciate all the helpful input :)

  8. If my waist is 31", what size do I need to get in the s710?

I was thinking a size 29 because that translates to 30.5" according to BiG. I also do not plan on hot-soaking it. Do I have to? Is this strictly shrink-to-fit, or can I simply just wear it and then wash it for the first time later after having worn it for awhile?

Also, how does the S710 compare to the S0505XX? It seems like no one gets the s0505, which I'm also really interested in because of the zipper fly (really sick of button flys).

  9. does anyone have any info on the s0505xx?

i'm looking for a fit sort of similar to the apc new standards and was wondering where these fall.

i currently wear dior 19cms, but im getting kind of tired of the skinny jean look and want something more slim-straight.

i do have a pair of APC NS and the fit is pretty much what I want, but the inseam is too damn short and I need something longer.

Thinking about the s0505 or maybe the s710s.. although I prefer the 0505s because it has a zipfly and im sick of buttoning my button fly lol.
