  1. ^ thanks man. im comparing that to a couple others for my next edc purchase. Also can anyone reccomend a good tactical pen? im considering the shrade, but the last Shrade stuff Ive owned were several junky china knives so idk about the quality of those guys anymore.

others may disagree, but I say save your money and get either a parker jotter or zebra f701 and throw a fisher space pen refill in it. The "tactical" pens seem a bit excessive for most people's applications. If you insist on something marketed as a tac pen though, look into Uzi and surefire I've heard good things

  2. Just get the Gerber Shard. Fits those exact requirements you listed here plus its like $7. Carry that for a while and if you find that you really use it a lot, then maybe start looking into higher end keytools.

I already use my brewzer a shitload, and don't feel like the shard offers anything over it. I said in my op I was looking for something with more heft/weight. Will probably check out ttpockettools stuff thanks for the help guys.

  3. Its probably been addressed but I can't remember what the answers were. The only companies I know making one piece tools would be TTpocketTools, PocketToolx, Gerber & of course Atwood. I only own Atwoods so I can't really recommend you any specific tool by another company. I will say that if you can score an Atwood, they're worth the price they command.

Edit: It also might help if you listed functionality that you would like the tool to have(bottle opener, prytip, etc.).

I guess something similar to the prybaby. I only need basics, prying, bottle opener, screwdriver but wouldn't mind tools that do more (would prefer in fact).

  4. this has probably been addressed before, but does anyone have good recommendations for a one piece multitool. I've wanted an atwood for a long time but always seem to miss his sales. I have a pockettoolx brewzer right now and want something with a little more heft/thickness. Thanks!

  5. just a random question for anyone that had a 4sevens light repaired. Did they send you your original light back? I sent in a light about 2 and a half maybe 3 weeks ago and just checked my mail...its an entirely different, quite worn down light (a ton of silver showing through the black) and the twist operation has very little resistance (makes me wonder if I'll have even more problems with it turning on in my pocket now...). Any feedback would be appreciated haha

  6. this seemed like the most relevant thread for this...I'm looking to buy a birthday present for my friend that's entering her 5th year of a b.arch program. Anyone have gift recommendations...maybe books you've found and really love, etc? I was considering a monograph of one of the firms she likes but thought that might be a bit too typical and generic as a gift. thanks for any help and +reps all around

  7. both the green and orange gatsby paste are good.

+1 for gatsby.. I usually use the green all over and then purple or grey to add a little more shape/definition on top
