  1. Finally after UPS tried to deliver once when I wasn't home (yesterday), and this time I left a note asking for them to leave it with the neighbor, but they left it with the wrong one. I finally got my first pair of raw denim. PS Size 25.

I have a size 27 and a half waist, and as said in a few pages before this I was recommended to still go down to a true 27 instead of 28 because they would stretch.

I know I'm not the skinniest motherfucker to be honest, and I've gained some muscle since... but I've never felt this fat in my life. I got the first button on, then with a little struggle I got the second one on. I think I could get the third on if I really tried but it doesn't help that I just ate a lot of meat, bread, soup and 2 cups of water (I was too stubborn to wait)!

Do these look bad? I'll get better pictures with good lighting once I'm feeling brave enough to walk around my house

Do you think these will look good on me in the future?

  2. unless you have thunder thighs i suggest 25. going down about 3 sizes for the PS sounds right since the standards are bigger than the NC's. and don't worry, they'll stretch in all places

I definitely don't have thunder thighs.

Thanks for your response :D Ordered

  3. PS standing for post -soak im guessing... go with the 25 because it will stretch a little ( maybe an inch or so)

    Hope this helps :)

I meant petite standard but I'm hoping that your answer is still correct because I was thinking that :D Thanks now, and in advance again.

edit: Wait I'm slightly confused, are you saying I would soak them, then start wearing? Or wouldnt I wear them straight out of the box?

  4. I'm going to buy the PS A.P.C's I have a size 27and a half waist. Should I go with a true 27 or 28? So in their sizes, 25, or 26

I'm only considering the 25's if they stretch?

  5. For your first pair, I'd recommend APC new cures. Similar cut, but since you're willing to shell out that much money, look into Dior MIJ 19cm.

I'm pretty sure that Imperial cut was based on the Dior cut anyway.

Would you consider the Dior's my best option if I want that cut, and some sort of style. The APC's look like my best starter option, but a bit plain. Maybe it's just because their are no fitted photos.

edit: Just remembered, it's not about how they look, it's about how you live in them. The APC's seem like a good price, for my first "canvas" heh. When I know more about jeans I can move up onto other things. Sad that the imperial jeans are unavailable though.

    double edit:

What does sufu think of http://www.contextclothing.com/item.php?id=329

? for a starter pair. I'm assuming dry is the same as raw. Looks like a nice fit for me.

  6. I'm looking for my first pair of skinny (tapered) salvage denim.

When I found these I REALLLLLY wanted them but apparently only 100 were made in indigo, meaning I'll never get them. + I'd need a size 27.

Are there any jeans similar to this? In cut, style? When will Imperial come out with more jeans like this?

Apologies for my ignorance in advance.

  7. They will look good if you want a crazy high rise for such slim jeans. I think the SExSCs are a pretty excellent choice as are the Flathead BSPs and 1001s. Anyone of those gives you a slim cut and fantastic denim.

I've decided on these. How long do you think that I will have to wait for the size 27's?

I also want to thank everyone for their help.

  8. the popular torrents are great if you get on them early, 2.0 ratio at least

    Truth^^

Grab what you want early and if you have even a shitty upload speed you can still keep a decent ratio.

  9. I'll take an invite, don't worry, I seed. I had a 2.0 ratio on oink before it shut down. I'll download things and can leave it running at all times because im on a connection with no one else but myself.

I'm not on a connection by myself and I still seed 24/7 :P

  10. ok, I'm just gonna go ahead and be the first to say it: Lurk more. Follow the WAYWT thread, google brands, go to sites like urbanoutfitters.com/revolveclothing.com/tobi.com and look at lookbooks and spreads to see what interests you. We can't tell you what you want to wear because we are not you and that would completely negate the point of "building your own style". So do yourself a favor and just start browsing threads that catch your eye, pay special attention to the WAYWT and recent purchases thread and then go from there. If you have more specific questions about jean cuts, consult the superdenim part of the forum. Don't stray much farther or else you'll find yourself being assaulted by posters for stupid questions like these. In closing: just snoop around, don't post unless you think its absolutely necessary, and just try and learn things. Start here @ supershopper and superdenim, investigate threads, find out stores, etc. and try to develop your aesthetic interest from there. Like I said before, we can't dress you, only you can dress you. Just try and figure it out for yourself.

Yeah I got that, and trust me on the lurk moar, I know.

Really I was just looking for the websites and the thing you mentioned.(lookbooks)

Sounds good. Been browsing threads and am not sure what's going on half the time but I'm picking up. Not asking to be babied :)

By suggestions and tips I was just asking like you said for starter sites to check out and stuff like that.

    Thank you very much sir.
