  1. Any recommendations on Cal State schools? It's application time and it's either CS or community and then transfer for me. I don't have the grades to make it to a UC or suches. Thanks in advance

edit: preferably not anywhere near the LA area as I would like to go far and dorm.

  2. It only looks ugly if you don't like skidding. Nuts to stem, yes ugly. I'm hardly out of my saddle when I skid. And I think I look pretty doing so.

Bad for your tires: well so is riding them on uneven pavement. That's life. And if you skid to stop, you know the risk of tire wear and buy your tires accordingly. Those who say they go through a rando in a week, are those who are doing it wrong.

Bad for you knees: not many things are good for your knees. I've had bad knees since I was competing in karate. But my knees feel better now, than then.

I just wanted to add a little input. To me, brakeless riders are actually real track racers, people who want to look cool skidding and shit, tricksters, people who just like it for the aesthetics, or just plain idiots. I put on a front brake recently. Omgz no barspinz, but really, my knees dont feel as fucked up as usual, I can go faster without worrying about crazy drivers cutting me off and such, and I'm just safer in general.

and gatorskins are the probably one of the best tires for street use. I've had mine since last summer or so and I still have yet to pop a tube or change them. I might just be lucky or I don't skid enough. yep. I'll post pics of my bikes later. kthxbai

edit: and I really don't see how braking/skidding with a fixed gear is safer/faster for you than on a road bike.

  3. I wrestled in high school for 3 years and 1 year or community college.

    Jiu-jitsu for ~6 months, barely a blue.

Muay Thai for a couple months, still pretty new.

    Training at Babalu's in Cerritos.

How is it there(just the training and price in general, pm me if you want)? I live down the street, but I'm not sure if it's gonna fit in my schedule atm. Thanks in advance

and where do you go for muay thai?

  4. Just looking for some tips to lose body fat. Wrestling season starts in about 2 months or so, and I'm about 14% body fat and looking to drop to around 11% without gaining weight. What would be a good way to approach this? I run at least 3 miles and lift for at least 30 minutes during the weekdays. and I weight 135 atm. Thanks, guiz

edit: What is good diet-wise to achieve this? thanks, again

  5. sizing runs kinda weird.. i wear 9 usually and i have two pairs in 8 and one in 7.5

qft. I've had at least five pairs of these ranging from size 7-8.5. I'm an 8 true to size and both 8 and 7.5 fit well. $15 a pair at my local surplus. yeee boii. The newer stuff seems to be better quality for some reason
