  1. only one person i can think of

but its only cos he keeps negging me for being skinny apparently

i only neg you if you consistantly neg me. :o

Girl, come on over. I'll fatten you up with a blue eyed baby.

  2. I don't get it, if I neg rep somebody for any obviously valid compliant, why neg me back?

Especially if your neg doesn't really do anything but signal to me you're taking this 'rep' system far too personally?

I always neg back and try to be funny. Some people just get sooooo angry.

About a month or two back that guy, Orion, negged me over something pretty stupid. I negged him back, probably cracked a joke at him or something. Then he starts sending me these threatening PM's, saying that I must be gay, that I can't stop thinking about him (he keeps messaging me) and basically foaming at the mouth and losing control. Then he starts attacking me in threads (he negged me first and I didn't even start with him, even after the initial neg). He really blew his lid. Then, in some thread I'd posted in, he copied and pasted the PM's but deleted parts to his liking. Really nutso shit. So I posted the entire thing and people gave me about 50 points worth of pos rep because he really loses it in these pm's. Wesley pipes used to always do that shit too but not nearly to the extent of that Orion guy. I was afraid he was going to find where I live and kill my dog or something.

  3. nothing fits me, period.

to quote a literary cliche, "rock and roll. deal with it"

anti fashion = the new fashion

I wish this stephan schneider shirt that I want didn't cost nearly $300. I bet that fits.

  4. not cohesive?

If you mean that there is a little too much contrast in the garments for it to be fit for the runway, then I agree. But that is a good thing.

    Agreed.

The opposite being too contrived, nothing is worse than having clothes wear you. That's what an over-calculated, loudly conceptual outfit does. We have suits for that now, and we keep those very minimal if we're smart.

This is a rare case where this particular person looks really good with this kind of gimmick and I don't immediately think "costume play." There's a very Teutonic appeal here.

  5. dude if you're on the beach just get some flip flops man. i think there's a pretty big divide on this board on heads that are pro and anti sandal - i fall in the latter. that being said, if you must do it, keep it on the beach and keep it basic.

Get some flip flops. I love the flops.

Sandals are cool if you're cool.

Years ago YMC had this white mesh/loose weave summer plimsole. They sold it on OiPolloi. Man, if I could find that.

  6. We went to highschool with a cross-eyed girl. A few years ago we were reminiscing and I brought her up. My buddy then told me that he invited her over one day and she gave him a blowjob. Ha.

  7. I need a new beanie. The one that I wear all of the time is a burgundy which fits so perfectly. But lately, I've been buying oxblood and cordovan colored shoes. Nothing is worse than "I matched my hat with my shoes."

I need one that is of a neutral color and not too slouchy, but slouchy.

  8. So I just got super-promoted. I have no certs, yet, the company that purchased my hospital thinks I'm worth the money to create a new specialist position just for me. I'll be making good money from now on. So strange. I was pretty low on the totem pole and now I'm not at all. Freaky. I'm not complaining, though.

Now I get to save for grad school. I can save quite a bit so that I can focus on school for a few years when I move and not have to work while I do my internships. It's been a long, hard road (being broke) and now things are finally starting to go my way.

Luck is preparation paired with opportunity! :D

  9. if you agonize over the way everything fits you and obsess over clothing in general (welcome to sufu) then you should be able to pick up a few basic skills by practice, like sewing. Make a pillow or some shit. Then, pick up:

I have this one. Pretty straight forward.

    Yes, no, maybe so?

    No.

hipsters here have been rocking it (or a variation thereof) for a looooong time. when there's this much interest, you KNOW it's the new fauxhawk...

I disagree. This is a classic cut that's sharp and very masculine. It's a huge shame that a few dorks are going to ruin a great thing for everybody else, but that's the way everything goes. They'll probably blow it out of proportion with long bangs or something equally as stupid.

the hj is a versatile cut to start with, so we can play with variations for a while before it becomes too cliche. The fauxhawk was cheaply bought youth and a tame stab at dolling up for cheap drinks and stupid women. It will never be classic because its angle is too easy to pull off.

  11. Definitely feelin the YMC

    A more low key/classic design

I still think Docs are a cheap indestructible shoe, but probably not for the price they are going to ask for due to the collaborative effort

or just go with classic 1460's?

Check out the Solovair docs. Solovair was their original factory in england. I really like solovair. They're slightly smarter, are of good quality, and not made in china.

  12. Put on some medium to high rises yesterday and felt fucking bizarre. Really disturbed by how addictive and illusionarily flattering hip slung waists are over time. Not happy about it at all.

Hm. Afraid I don't follow. What went wrong? Just curious.

  13. I dig the simmons x martens but don't know if the [assumed] price is justified.

I ended up getting those Martens monkey boots. They're really nice. They're made in the solovaire factory in england. They have a beautiful oxblood color and minimal stitching. I went ahead and did the sole stitching in black and used cordovan polish to cover up the yellow stitching on the leather. they look really good.

    Here's another variation:
