  1. ....just doing my part via a positive review in order to promote the top notch service that is SuToCorp...

Received a package of orders yesterday that I asked them to source for me.  Flawless communication during the whole process from start to finish.  I really appreciate their timeliness and professionalism as well as their willingness to combine orders before shipping to the States.  They work efficiently, and do more than their part to dot their i's and cross their t's (i.e. what instructions should they follow with customs declarations, etc...).

I HIGHLY recommend this service.  I'm not too knowledgeable with the other existing proxy services out there...but I'm not that interested in shopping around at this point either...in fact, I've already submitted a new order request to SuToCorp, LOL.

  2. I too recently used them for the first time after a few years since using any type of japanese proxy (the last time was for an original copy of Take Ivy...yes THAT long ago  ;) )

Regarding Sutocorp and your current order, I'm not sure about your specifics, but after I made my deposit and received my confirmation, within 24 hours I heard back that a purchase had been made and that I should specify shipping preferences (customs declarations, shipping address, if there were any other requested items that they could obtain for me and eventually combine shipping, etc...) while they waited for the package to arrive to them.

It appears their initial arm of customer service that sets up your initial deposit differs from the actual buying arm...my guess is that's where your holdup is...they must still be in the process of tracking down and purchasing your request?  That initial arm seems to be the same entity that got back to me confirming a purchase had been made (and they sent a receipt of the copy of the purchase as well).

It turns out I am waiting for them to track down a second request I made in order to hopefully combine shipping if they're successful in making this second purchase.  So once again, they promptly replied and said they would hand my "case" over to the buying division and they'd be back in touch once they had a reason to be back in touch.  So I too am in "limbo" of sorts wondering when they will get back to me and if they can find the item I'm interested in acquiring.  But they've been very responsive whenever it seems they have news to share, and I really don't have any reason to suspect foul play, so I'm sure you just have to continue waiting.  I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you kindly "reminded" them of your request if you don't hear anything by the end of the week.  My experience has been very pleasant with them thus far...no complaints!

    G'luck!

  3. Hide-san, apologies for delaying so long in making this feedback post!

Hide is all you really need for a Japan proxy. It's unnecessary to consider any other option. He's quick, accountable, enthusiastic about helping you get what you're looking very, and VERY friendly and easy to communicate with.

I was looking for a Japanese book that is ridiculously overpriced in the States given its recent popularity in certain blog circles and its mention in the NYTimes. Hide came through in coordinating my bids on yahoo.co.jp where the winning bids were much lower in value. He's very generous in only requiring half of your max bid to proceed (unlike other proxy services), and even though we didn't win the first few auctions, he was always willing to try again with me without any sign of losing interest.

His fees are beyond reasonable, and he's VERY quick -- four days after winning the auction, he mailed my package overseas on July 19th and my mailman had it at my doorstep 3 days later. I cannot wait to use him again...hopefully for clothes this time around as he's probably more used to.

If anybody is interested, I wrote a more detailed review of my experience w/ Hide on my blog here:

Thanks again, Hide-san! I wish you the best and hope to write to you soon.

  4. I second the detox face mask. It's really foamy and keeps foaming and tingling for 5-10 minutes. Not sure if it's been advertised, but in store at Blackbird they offer a 3 for the price of 2 on all malin and goetz cleaning/grooming products. They just give you the cheapest of the products for free. It's worth an inquiry.

that's pretty awesome. i wonder if they do it for online purchases. i'm assuming not...but it can't hurt to ask...

  5. second question for the day...anybody out there ever try the Boots Expert line? Specifically, the anti-blemish products? Thoughts? I was just browsing through the Boots aisle @ Target when the products caught my eye...

  6. Malin & Goetz FTW!!!! Andrew Goetz is a homie, and his shit is on point. I think I own every single product they sell (even a candle!) They are my Robert Geller of Skin/Hair care.

    a.s.

i'm slowly becoming a Malin & Goetz convert -- a couple months ago, i figured a test run of their grapefruit facewash and vit E cream was worth a shot, especially since my skin is on the more sensitive side...the face wash was an instant hit for me, very gentle but effective at the same time. the vit E cream was also great, it took me a bit of time to adjust to the scent but i love it just as much now, it goes on great and works w/o turning my face greasy. breakouts and blemishes are down too...just purchased a new batch of goodies off their website today!

any thoughts on their rice bran eye cream? as well as the detox face mask? i opted not to get those ones...yet...

  7. I'm EXTREMELY late on this one I realize, but I'm actually interested in acquiring any pieces from this collection from over two years ago.

I noticed the trench in grey, as well as the tux suit were both for sale earlier this year, and I regret not having searched thru this forum at that time.

Specifically interested in both these pieces, size 38 (EUR 48), but I'm also curious if anybody has anything else from this collection they were interested in selling.

  8. ohhh, keeping in mind that this IS H&M, the collection isn't complete s-ii... true, i don't think i'd wear it all at once, but components can be worked in here and there...

that studded leather jacket that people either had to have or hate on proved to be a tricky get...apparently, stateside, nyc and la were the only cities to receive it, and within nyc, only two of the stores...i managed to cop the last one in my size @ the midtown location...the quality of the leather is what it is...at this pricepoint, i wasn't asking for anything more :) a good accent piece...tho...

where yesterday this launch occupied the whole main floor on 51st & 5th, it's been reduced to a small corner today...so this stuff is moving...
