it's awkward when you go to eat somewhere and your waiter is someone that you used to go to high school with and you go on pretending that you guys are complete strangers.

This shit happens to me ALL THE TIME. Mostly at restaurants but once in a while at a fast food place. It's always awkward shit.

Similarly, there was this kid in middle school that everybody picked on. He was overweight, dorky, ugly, etc. I felt bad for him. Fairly recently I walked into H&R Block and dude was working there! SUPERAWKWARD at first but he recognized me and we ended up talking about how much his life has changed (for the better, of course) and how he never held a grudge on anyone that picked on him. I still don't think I'd be seen hangin' with that MOFO though

I've got a similar story - an old roommate had this friend (and I use that term loosely) who we all found rather annoying. We always talked shit about him behind his back. I don't even know why said roommate hung out with the guy but that's beside the point.

Anyway, one day he was expected to come over, so we were talking mad shit. Ok, mostly I was talking mad shit, but my roommate and bf at the time were chiming in as well.

Unbeknownst to us, he had come in through the back door without any of us hearing and after a break in the shit talking soiree, he comes strolling into the room and we all kind of froze.

Majorly awkward! Who knows how long he might've been standing there.

Then of course later on we all talked shit about who the fuck just walks into people's houses all quiet like that, lol. And through the back door! WTF.
