  1. Popeye melbourne is way more chill than sydney, sydney is mostly for tourists, there is nothing other than a bridge and some ugly opera house

Yeah, and Melbourne has that really attractive piece of architecture called federation square... You definitely want to check that beauty out.

  2. FS: BNWT BBS Cooked Wool Zip-up [M]

I bought this from H. Lorenzo, but have decided that the medium is too big for me, so I'm trying to track down a small. Retails for around $960USD.

This is best for a true 48 in my opinion.

Huge price drop. This is 50% off retail.

    Asking: $500AUD + Shipping

Domestic buyers contact me for a price

  3. I think you have missed several of the very pertinent points in the discussion.

    1. If a designer is allowed to ask for discretion, the consumer can in turn ask for openess. They are both entitled to opinions, after all. No point in getting your panties in a twist.

    2. The amount of money a store spends on a designer should have no bearing on the designer's views. The fact the LIFT had an open showroom for its customers speaks volumes.

    3. People appreciate that the collection should be seen and felt in person. But this is not feasible as has been pointed out numerous times. And using this as an excuse for putitng an embargo on pictures is lame (i'm not sure if this was what Poell said, or what the fanboys use to justify the ploy). The fact that Poell and his humble crew allow pictures to be spread post realese, again, speaks volumes. Pick one side of the fence, don't sit on it.

In the end I don't really care if it's marketing ploy or not, or if Poell is a private man. I didn't get to see the collection in person, and won't for a long time, so want to see pictures. I am sure lots of people are in the same boat.

  4. however, they did not say we cant talk about them.

And I only know one Australian SuFu member who was lucky enough to see the collection in person...

PM me with you thoughts. I know you have spoken briefly on the direction and themes of the collection, particularly those which are further explored from the previous season but I would like to know more garment specific stuff.

  5. But for people to respect the wishes of Poell, and to see the collection in person then we will never see pictures of the collection. Stores like Lift et al will not be able to blog about the collection... and people who don't live anywhere near a stockist will be up the proverbial creek.

If Poell had a real problem with it then why not speak to these stockists and tell them not to post images at all? I think it is just a stock standard attempt at hype mongering.

The sad truth of the matter is that only his true followers will abide by these wishes. The stores/websites/people he is trying to limit are the ones who are going to break the rules anyway.

And Merz/Christian had the best point of all - there is no imbargo on words.
