14 months wear / 2 soaks / 2 hand washes / 4 machine washes:
these were shot in more direct sunlight than normal. jeans aren't quite this light. oh well.

You've tried them on and can't make you your mind.... ? I don't think there's much we can do to help...
yep. was really only hoping for post wash measurements on the size 36x34 1966 501s that cjfergs has. (or if anyone has size 36 1966s and has washed them)

It's the same for all LVC, get the actual waist measurement of the jeans, go true to size for a slimmer fit, size up 1" for a more vintage fit. If your waist truly measures 36", with the '66 I'm guessing you'd probably want a 35 or 36. My old 4170 '66s started an inch bigger than tagged (size 38, 39") and they fit great.
i certainly appreciate the help, but i know all that. i would almost certainly want size 35, but they don't make them in that size, as far as i know - hence the dilemma. think the 34 would shrink too much and the 36 not enough. and this is all after trying on both a 34 and a 36 in the raw.
really wish brands would produce one inch increments above 34. oh well...

They are. I got a pair of 66 rigids at the SF store in Nov in my true waist size, 36, after trying them on and after soaking and a few months wear, they fit almost as big as my '09 1947s in 38. Not really a problem if you downsize, but def a little big...
have you washed your 66? that's when levi's really shrink up in my experience.
i'm especially curious because i'm a true 36 waist and was planning on grabbing 66 501s next. been eyeing them for a long time now and i think they're just what i'm after. really curious about the shrinkage though. if you have washed, could you post measurements? maybe some pics? much appreciated!

bodyslam - nice.
jacoblue - how are you washing yours? is the color in your pics true to life? i only ask because the lower legs on mine are almost as dark as when they were new... the only fading is where there's abrasion. but yours are pretty faded all over... they look great, by the way!

Anyone just wear these raw from the jump without an initial soak?
pretty sure ah_long did. his look spectacular. don't recall what he said about how washing has affected his fit.

**** EDIT - SOLD ****
selling my SExSC06 jeans in size 34 with initial soak and about a month of wear. too small for me now. i'm deluding myself thinking i'm gonna lose enough weight to fit in these again.
these jeans are long sold out everywhere. really great denim and slim cut. self edge info: http://www.selfedge....products_id=374
here are some photos (sorry - not the best quality): http://supertalk.sup...um/240-sexsc06/
jeans are darker than they look in the photos (and not as blurry). these were shot in low light. only fading is in the crotch and the slight wrinkling effect from the back pocket liners.
current measurements are:
w 18 (36 - but this is the most stretched part of the jean. will shrink to 34)
fr 11
br 14.5
thigh 12 at seam, but 11 just an inch or 2 below - these are really slim in the thigh as i'm sure you know
hem 8.25
inseam 36
$230 shipped in US. international buyers to pay additional shipping cost.
**** EDIT - SOLD ****

i'll get some photos up in a week or two. gave my pair a warm machine wash and took some measurements. thought i'd share just for reference. they've had 2 initial soaks, 1 soak after 4.5 months, 2 hand washes, one cold machine wash, and one warm machine wash.
measurements are - raw / post 1 soak / post 2 soaks / post 4th wash (current):
waist: 18.75 / 18.125 / 17.875 / 18
Frise: 12.5 / 11.875 / 11.5 / 11.25
Brise: 16.5 / 16 / 16 / 16
Inseam: 35 / 33.5 / 32.75 / 32.75
Thigh: 13.5 / 13.25 / 13 / 12.75
Knee: 9.75 / 9.5 / 9.5 / 9.375
Hem: 9.25 / 9 / 8.75 / 8.625
front rise and legs have have continued to slim down slightly. they feel a lot tighter across the hips, and hip flare has gone way down, but i never measured across the lap. surprised the inseam hasn't shrunken more. the waist too, but that stretches and shrinks back and forth more than anything else.

new standards. i've owned these for 4-5 years, but my best estimate on wear is about 8-9 months. 1 soak, 1 wash, 1 ocean wash. nothing too special, but i still love these jeans. fit better than most japanese brands, imo.

great to see some activity in this thread again! i guess i've got to answer when i've been called out! (though i was gonna post this anyhow...)

i went camping this weekend after these were taken and i gave them their 2nd hand wash when i got back. they shrunk back up a bit, which is a good thing for my fit. i meant to take measurements but they feel like they've already stretched a bit today.

oh, bummer. thanks anyhow.
if anyone else comes across any of these, lemme know!
