Try these ones too, they were $220; I'm sure that you could track them down somewhere. IMO the matte finish looks better than the gloss in person.

A little bit rounder, but probably half the price. Been looking at getting a pair of Ditas too, but the price is putting me off.

Bumping this thread for podcast recommendations.
At the moment I've been listening to a lot of Radio Lab (science show presented entertainingly), This American Life and a few shows from ABC (Australia) Radio National.
Any other good talkie shows out there?

^Haneke is bomb. I picked up the Director's Suite box-set of his work not too long ago. Excellent purchase. Still haven't got around to seeing the Funny Games remake.
I haven't seen the remake either. I agree with the critics that it's weird that he remade one of his less sophisticated films. Funny games was meant to be a satire of shit Hollywood thrillers and it hasn't dated very well at all. All of that breaking the 4th wall shit seems pretty cheesy these days.
seksu!, try Time of the Wolf, Hidden or 7th Continent. Totally different. His films are fairly esoteric.
I'm looking for more films in the same vein as Haneke. I quite like the Dardenne brothers and some of the Iranian films, but they're only similar in the lack of music/Hollywood structure/pacing etc. but are nowhere near as confrontational.

What's the sizing like? Length/width measurements would be nice.
Thanks

Michael Haneke's The White Ribbon. Will be awesome. Not basing this on this winning the Palm d'Or, but Haneke's other work. Usually very transgressive. I've been a big fan of his stuff for years; anyone else here like Haneke?0 -
Barnett is overrated IMO. Yvel had no ground game, Rizzo's been real bad over the last couple of years. He was a beast during the OW GP though. His sub defence is siiiick. The only way I can see Barnett winning is via a lucky punch. No way in hell that he'll pound out a victory, or get a sub.
I'd rather see Fedor fight one of the really big UFC dudes like Carwin or Cock Chestner. I would love to see Fedor slap an armbar on Brock from full guard, or some sort of mid-air knockout.

If anyone sees Black Buttero Combat Boots, in a 12 / 45 at their local Barneys NY on sale, please PM me.
Also, do Barneys ever respond to emails? or should I just call them from Aus?
I don't think Barney's do delivery to Australia. I remember wanting to buy some stuff a while ago, but the site only does domestic orders.

Might as well post up some others. The brown boots from Moto seem to have a good patina effect.

Moto (Japanese) here. This is a ladies boot, but the men's is much the same. No idea what they cost or where to kop. I think I want a pair of everything on the site. Would strangle a sack full of kittens to get a pair of Motos...
Also, Augusta is stocked in a shop near where I live. (Some sort of offshoot of Carpe Diem I believe) Can't bear to check them out. A $2k pair of boots is the last thing I need.

^^^ try skulls. They do white/ brown jeans, they might be denim though.

Any chance of getting the pit-pit measurements and the sleeve length? Thanks.
edit:
sorry, I missed the measurements in the middle there.

Might be a dumb question...
Good round toe dress shoes with a leather sole for less than $200? (Shippable to Australia)
I don't remember where these images are from, so I apologise in advance if I stole them from a SUFUer.
Been looking for a while, nothing tickles my fancy in the price range/available to 'Oz.

So my dad has this old leather motorcycle jacket that I took from him, needs to be conditioned and treated because it's stiff and dry, but the biggest problem is that there are creases in the sleeves from being on a hanger for so long. And ideas on how to get them out? i already tried laying them out and stacking a ton of books on them for 2 weeks, and it did nothing. I read you can iron it with a damp towel and then a dry towel over it. Any suggestions?
Sorry for the not so great pictures, camera sucks. A bit too tight to zip, in the last picture you can see the creases in the sleeves.
I've read somewhere that you can leave it in the bathroom while you take a hot shower, and the steam softens/conditions it. I haven't tried it personally though, so don't quote me on that.

This should be incorporated into a tattoo.
Old post, but a couple of you seemed interested in the idea. I found this online somewhere.
Also, any tips on representational tattoos? (portraiture/realistic images) I've seen too many cringeworthy portraits online. I suppose you need to go for high contrast/strong shadows... basically something that'd work as a stencil, with minor shading? Anything else I should keep in mind?
I dig this guy's stuff (the execution more than the images):

mr.olive wallets are hand distressed cowhide leather.
I was wondering how to do, rather than where to buy. Or is it just a matter of getting some foetus leatherz?
