  1. Ok, who just bought the Denime XX on eBay for a great deal?
Was thinking those over for a couple weeks and then when I decide to buy I see it’s sold!

Post fit pics when they arrive so I can live vicariously through you.  Thanks!

  2. Did anyone end up buying any 30th anniversary Denimes?
I’m just wondering what the difference is from the current offerings in the Denime shop online.

I also tried visiting the 30th anniversary website and it’s asking for a password now?

  3. I’m considering purchasing some 66xx’s from the Denime site and just want to make sure I’m doing it correctly (I’m in the US)

i find my size and click “delivery overseas” which opens a new window to buysmartjapan.com where I have to pick my size again, I’m assuming?

On the buysmartjapan page under purchase specs is a list of japanese words with numbers in them.  I’m assuming are different sizes.  So I should pick the one that has “33” if I want a size 33, correct?

thanks in advance for the help.

  4. So a couple weeks into wearing my 2000 no.1 and I'm loving the fit now.  So much so that all my slim straight/tapered jeans now feel like skinny jeans.  Now I'm researching fuller cuts for my next pair, but that will be a whiles off.  In the meantime, I'm enjoying the cut and especially the denim of these no.1 Evisus.  Took a picture that actually shows how hairy these guys are!

  5. Wearing my Evisu lot 2000 no. 1's out for the 4th time and I'm still getting used to them.  In some pics they look good, but in others just look sloppy (1st & 3rd pics look sloppy, 2nd pic looks fine).  I think I could have sized down one, but I'm not sure sizing down 1 would fix my worries.  For you guys with the fuller cuts, is that what they look like at odd angles or is the cut too big or not right for me?

  6. Thanks everyone!

These are a tagged size 36w.  I usually take 33w jeans and stretch them to a 34w true waist. So I sized up 2 from my true waist.  These were also hemmed to 32.5" by the original owner.

here are measurements I took in inches (BIG style):

    Pre-soak:

    Waist - 17.75
    FR - 11.5
    RR - 14.75
    Thigh - 13.5
    Knee - 10.375
    Inseam - 32.5
    Hem - 8.875

    Post-soak

    Waist - 16.5
    FR - 10.375
    RR - 13.75
    Thigh - 13
    Knee - 9.5
    Inseam - 29
    Hem - 8.25

  7. Finally have time to post some pictures of my new Evisu 2000, no. 1 redline.

I'm usually a fan of slim straight or slim tapered cuts, but Evisu 2000's have been on my wishlist for a while (1st pair into trying to complete the Osaka 5).  So when a great deal came up on a new pair (thanks @HAZARDkid!!!), I quickly grabbed them.

When I first received them, they were huge on me, but I know how famous the redline no.1 denim shrinks, so I was optimistic that they would shrink up to the right size.

    Pre-soak pics:

I did a soak in the hottest water my tub put out, hung dried until damp, then put them in the washer for a hot wash (no spin cycle), then tossed them in the dryer.  After they were dry, I got them wet again and tossed them in the dryer one more time just to ensure all shrinkage was done.  I'm pretty sure they won't shrink any more (correct me if I'm wrong).  But here's the post-shrinkage fit:

    EVISU_post_zpsod8oaaiz.jpg

The waist/hip area is snug (not tight), and I feel like they'll stretch to the perfect size.  Like I said, I'm used to wearing slim straight and slim tapered cuts, so the extra room in the thigh is weird right now (look at the rear picture and all the extra denim causing the fold at the back of my thighs).  They're super comfortable and the denim is amazing, and I know that it's good to have different cuts in your rotation.  Let me hear your guys' opinion on the post-soak fit.

  8. Thanks guys. Thigh is 11.5" and inseam is 31.5" after the soak. The thigh measurement might look a bit small on paper but they don't feel tight at all. The shorter inseam works for me because I wear jeans mostly with 6" boots and a double cuff. I'll get some post-soak pics up on the weekend.

Nice jeans bram!!! Did you take pre-soak measurements and if so what webshop has the most accurate measurements? Would also be interested in post soak measurements too (waist, thigh, knee, hem).

  9. Garden gnomes, that denim looks amazing!

Can't wait to see the post soak measurements and the measurements after they've stretched back out after a few wears.

I've always wanted some Evisu but wasn't sure about my sizing (between a 34w and 35w).

Tigerstrom, can we get some measurements of your 34's after a few wears too?

  10. Momotaro 0705sp

These are my "comfortable" jeans since they are looser than I was expecting.  These are size 33w and hemmed to 30.5" (yes, I'm that short that I can still double cuff a 30L jeans).  Not used to the larger hem on these (8.25") but I guess I should have expected a bigger than normal leg opening after chopping 4" off the length.
