women's pbjs aren't slubby at all. the only thing is that they contain about 5% of stretch...don't know if you want that...

yeah it happened to mine as well. seems to be a common problem.

i agree with carmel...the flatheads are definitely looser in the hip/butt area than most other raw denim for women.

what is the other material (s) in the wool-blend peacoat?

unfortunately I can't make this meet...I won't be back in Philly until Aug. 15th.

^mine stretched a lot! at first i was only able to button one button & now it's starting to become loose.

^flathead balder jeans would be good imo. it's got a lot more room in the hips.

thanks for the pictures! but now my girlfriend is confused in the sizing department yet again. haha.
i'm a size 26 in mainstream brands (sevens, diesels, etc.), 5' 5" & appx. 110 if that helps. The hips on these though are really small but can be stretched with some effort.

My lindas from BIG. I soaked them for appx. 1 hour in cold water.

My lindas from BIG. It took a long time to stretch out the hips since they're cut pretty straight-a lot less hip area than Flathead balders. I soaked them for appx. 1 hour in cold water since they're raw & they shrunk well to the post-soak measurements listed on BIG.
For reference, I'm normally a 26 in mainstream brands & I got a 2 in these.
Presoak:
Waist: 30 inches
Rise: 8.5 inches
Inseam: 33.5 inches (got them hemmed)
Post soak:
Waist: 29 inches
Rise: 8 inches
Inseam: 32.2 inches

they say to size up... so im worried that those are going to be too tight... not sure
do the measurements look right (what they're supposed to be after soak?) if so, you should be okay. my pair shrank a lot because I soaked it in really hot water. If you do a cold/lukewarm soak it should shrink less.

there's a size 29 available-would that fit you?

if you mean a 27 in mainstream denim-she'd probably need a 2 or 3 in lindas & 27 or 28 in flatheads. and flatheads are better imo if she's more curvy. linda's better if she has a more boyish figure.

flatheads definitely have more hip space than the lindas-so you may want to try those if you're bigger in the hips. if you have a more boyish figure then the lindas will be better imo. This is from my experience of having to wet stretch the hip area of the lindas.

thanks! I actually sized tts according to the measurements (bought a size 2, i'm a 25/26 in mainstream brands). They were initially loose in the waist but really tight in the hips which made them unbuttonable. I damp stretched them and got them to button. With wear, they've loosened up considerably.
