  1. anyone also have a pair of suicokes?

    question:

the insole has a weird big bubble on the heel, i find it pretty uncomfortable to wear them for long periods of time, as it's like the bulge is jamming into my heel.

goes away over time?  better for some feet than others?  need to make my foot muscles stronger to handle suicoke sandle insole?

  2. yeah, definitely contact veilance for the voronols, they will make it right, even if you didn't buy them direct.

this is a longshot prob, but anyone want to trade for my XL ordessa align?

to make it an even longer shot, I already have an isogon, partition, and field jacket.  would want to trade for L/XL, ordessa fits, I just picked up the ivory one and don't NEED both.

  3.

  How do you not yet have 'comfortable waterproof urban tech shoes'?

haha.  trying to remedy.  thought the outlier/vans would do the trick last year, they were the only thing I have ever gotten from outlier that sucked.

used to live in vermont so urban waterfproof sneakers weren't necessary or useful.  needed several pair of boots to handle those winters.

  4. isogon is a great jacket, it's just not a "rain" jacket.  it's perfect for summertime though, as it breathes (way more than goretex, obviously).  the tradeoff is that it's not waterproof.  but it works well enough for summertime sprinkles.

i look at veilance jackets as tools.  they are all built for different things.  some are better for all-round use than others.  but they all do what they are supposed to do incredibly well.

isogon is like the world's best light jacket.  composite is a really comfortable mix of waterproof in the front and super comfortable and breathable in the back (i love this jacket for bike riding as it keeps me dryish for the most part, but doesn't get clammy inside).  field jacket handles sustained downpours like few others.  partition is minimalist, lightweight, packable, and keeps you dry in most weather, like the world's best travel jacket.  align is a do everything shell.  etc.

  5. just as a quick follow-up, i love the supermarine vans.  i got them to wear for actual bike riding, and they couldn't be better for it.  am psyched.  haven't worn them in downpour yet, so not sure how waterproof they will be (i am expecting much more resistant than proof) but they are perfect for when it's drizzly.  and they are pretty breathable so my feet don't get all sweaty.

saw lots of people down on them, just wanted to share that i am loving them.

  6. If anyone wants a pair of the Vans in size 11, let me know.  I ordered both 11 and 11.5 and am keeping the 11.5's.  Just want to get back what I paid for them.  (and the dude selling his for 300 on ebay cracks me up).

  7. the only remotely interesting thing from the A2B line is the women's wool tank/shoulder covering throw combo.

adding reflective piping doesn't convert clothing into "commuter gear that can be worn on and off the bike comfortably" or whatever.

  8. ^still on the fence.

these are only going to be $90, per HB.

the clarks ventiles are nice, just not sure how they would look over time, as there isn't very much structure to the shoe at all, and with the lighter weight fabric, seems like it could go all wrinkly and weird.

i actually think the outliers look great for what they are and seem like they would take more of a beating.  (particularly at $90).

  9. damn, can't believe they aren't making more caps. thanks for the info SuE. wonder why they would stop? nobody else makes caps like they made, using next-level materials. kicking myself for not picking up one of those storm caps when I had the chance.
