  1. Stopped by today in shanghai, they had maybe 3/4 of the +J pieces out on the racks. Both mens n womens had some nice steeze, but my torso is quite an inverted triangle shape so I ain't really be fitting anything real proper so didn't end up picking any plusJ up.(asian size L: shoulders too small+ perfect body fit, XL: shoulders perfect+ fat body. I'm still holding out for the +j raincoat piece and the white suit but it's a bit too early in winter for me to be thinking about spring. I can afford to sleep on it over here cos there is virtually no hype over +J.

The quilted items are super thin and if ur the right body shape; real fkn nice. I couldn't fit them proper cos the arm holes are too small for a well fitted torso. Anyways the dark blazers are made of some sorta plasticy stiffer fabric seems like it was somehow designed to maybe resist water or somthing?

Ended up getting amother fuck load of shit. chinoes, shirts n basics all on sale over here. I did spot the pants with the button

pockets posted above but didn't really give them a proper look over.

  2. moar +J be dropping soon, in asia anyways: Japan and the rest of asia on Dec. 23, UK on Jan. 7, USA Jan. 14 and France on Jan. 20.

yet to see pics tho. pieces in white, ivory + pastels in cotton, wool + satin.

  3. going to be in hong kong for most of feb, probs just going to do the whole IT, apc, joyce warehouse, lc, prolly end up with some hypebeasty/streetwear with my budget.

and maybe take5 if I really feel like another pair of jeans although im really hoping i don't.

so yarrr, did i miss any "must-sees?" +who be in HK for chineseNY?

  4. just dropped a bit of cash on the 'qlo, clothes for the winter. Double layered some heattech long sleeve tees today keeping me really warm in the shanghai cold.

the slim pleated trousers, tagged with a "model slim" in china are pretty fkn nice for the price point. Im pretty happy with the fit only need maybe a little bit of taking up.

  5. man I need to grow an arse or something, embarrassing how much I had to get a bunch of 'qlo slim slacks slacks I bought for work next year tailored in from the back of the crotch and through the leg. brought these pics in:

olga's a pro so shit ain't cheap but the results are worth it, tailoring is always spot on. also brought in 3 pairs on T-000's, just a word of warning that this season's model isn't as slim through the leg but the softer and slightly lighter denim is nicer imo.

    Edit:

shit that looks real good. thx for posting. so much incredi-steeze in japan.

    johony: ps. helo johny.

  6. My first ever roll of film. Shot on a Nikon FM and a 35mm/2.8. The Ilford HP5+ was processed at a pro lab in Sydney then scanned at home. These two were selected from the very few taken without people being the main subject.

  7. If you could buy Japanese denim at competitve prices from an Australian based online store... Would you?

What brands would you like to see available?

I'll be down for that. please make it happen, exchange rates are hella volatile for us consumers we're not ever guaranteed price when the right time rolls around to cop a pair or 2.

I want to see some Sammies + FH. thx. Please make it happen.

  8. I'm looking to buy my first suit... What kinda of suit should I get (I dont have alot of money and I will wear this one suit alot so it needs to be versatile).

    So my questions are:

    1) Grey, Navy or Black?

    2) What kind of Lapel?

    3) Slim fit but not skinny?

    4) Where do I start looking for a suit like this in sydney... I'm willing to spend about $600 for one... I think that's not too bad eh?

done. JV. Look forward to the results.

    1. Navy

    2. Notch

    3. Slim

    4. Market st DJ's may have some off the rack for that kind of price if you are of "average" build

  9. I like A77 too, Im glad shit is becoming more readily available to us here in Oz but I agree about GP carrying A77. Will probably get chewed up and spat out when the next 'new' thing comes along. I could be wrong though

I talked to an employee @ the Pitt St GP(Near Imperial) he said GP are now heading a different direction and instead of selling all the exact same shit they will now take on heaps of new "indie" labels as well. He was surprised at the reception A77 were getting from the some fashion "elitists" as explained to him, as he had never heard of the brand previous to his store stocking them. Quite a cool guy, surprised to see even the staff getting tired of the exact same brands and styles coming through. He also gave a plug for the store new denim brand "Standard," i've never heard of it apparently its Australian, with "quality denim + cuts" they're opening a store near Puma(Paddington) on Oxford next week, i'll give them a peek.

  10. Yeah it blows, but what can you do. In a way, I'm appreciative of all these people dressed like shit. After all, if everyone was wearing Commes Des Garcon and Dior Homme, then well... I suppose those wearing A.P.C. or whatever might be considered tacky. Who knows?

Technically correct is one thing, but it's up to the individual isn't it?

As a Christian, I'm not supposed to have pre-marital sex.

I was wearing my Cure's around Chatswood a fair bit if stacking with a plain grey tee. A 30-40 year old well dressed man with his wife slows down checking my outfit out head to toe, atleast 3 times. He was surely straight. Anyone else getting strange looks from copious amounts of stacking or otherwise? It was a first for me.

  11. As I am opening a store and the builders are taking there time( allready 3 months overdue ). I have Dukes/Kings/Shearer's available in Black/Indigo. Available World Wide. Free shipping throughout Aus for $270 a pair.

Hey, What city will your store be in?

    Thanks!
