  1. thanks spaghettini

school is kicking in tho. dont know if ill have time to rage

today was a beautiful day tho.

if you ever see a du wearing a blue ucla basketball jersey, that would be me rofl

    in the meantime -

    1. where is a good place to get a decent, cheap hair cut?

    2. where is a good shoe/boot cobbler? would like to get my vis some new vibram soles

    3. what is a cheap grocery store in manhattan

4, what is a cheap go to place for deli/bagels/coffee/pasta/china food/etc.?

help a cheap cali guy out

  2. moved in.

    my room is tiny.

the apt is dirty and ugly.

i THINK im going to be here for at least 3 years, but as of now, no matter how much NY will grow on my, CA > NY hands down. LA > NY. maybe its because im in manhattan. I should move out to williamsburg/brooklyn/queens/astoria or something like that. Or I just think NY is a good 1 week vacation spot.

  3. Minoring in CS, will that get me a decent anywhere? Majoring in Computing Arts..

CS Grad student told me that I should be able to get a good job with a minor. Is this true? Supposedly in 5 years there won't be enough people to fill CS jobs? So far I've done fairly well in my CS classes.

    /worriedartstudent

it's all about experience. as long as you can do the job youre applying for, you should be set.

  4. UCB arch.  Undergrad is pretty new and from what I've experienced really doesn't have any standards for its students' work

I was thinking about switching out and probably will apply for transfer but going into fashion really isn't much of a step up in terms of economic prospects (+ have to spend an extra year in school)

At this point just trying to grad with the arch degree (too late to switch, really) and some useful minor hoping education in a design discipline will be useful.  Then  maybe do a 2 yr program over at FIT.

Don't really know wtf I'm gonna do.

you cant be at CAL if youre saying their undergrad is "pretty new". Their cal program (both undergrad and CAL) has been there for ages. It's like the best you can get in the West Coast if you want a B.A. Otherwise it's CalPoly Slo.

But getting back to your dilemma, I wouldn't stick with something that you don't have any interest that doesn't pay well. I would go with fashion if that's what you're truly passionate about despite its financial stability. Do what you like and the money will come, mayng.

  5. I was computer science and I fondly remember those marathon weeks where I would literally bring a sleeping bag and sleep at the computer lab for several days only to go back to my dorm to shower. I would spend 16+ hours per day on my programming projects. I didn't have a life. Oh the irony now-a-days.

and how come the payout for architecture is less than CS majors when we put in as much, if not, more hours!?!?!

    FUQ DIS SHIT

    im doing real estate development

APPLESEED - SEE ME ON THE OTHER SIDE HOMIE

  6. I also suggest Big Sur and Hearst Castle. You could count San Jose into San Francisco and stay in the same place for both cities if you want.

I'd also recommend possibly Solvang, Palm Springs, Joshua Tree if only for a day at most for each.

If you wanna do Pismo Beach there's a travel zoo deal for less than $100 for a beachside joint.

also if do you stop by Pismo beach, there's this cafe called Splash Cafe. Best Clam chowda I had in my entire life. (never been to boston)

  7. just drive up the pacific coast highway (from LA to SF ) and you should be good.

napa is baller too - probably the best "wine country" in the west coast (some of the wines are like the best in the world.

) . French Laundry is there too.

  8. Anyone have a drop schedule for Japan? I'm mostly looking on getting the Kung Fu Tee, Easter Island shirt, the satin roses jacket (holy fuck I need this)and maybe the Champion Zip Up or Team Parka. Mostly in black.

i usually wear smalls in uniqlo stuff (button ups mostly) and medium supreme tees and sweaters fit me fine. I can usually fit most supreme jackets in medium too, just not the button ups; they're kinda big for my taste.

    but $700+ for that ma-1 jacket...fuck man....
