  1. I have been living in Beijing for 2 years now. I can give you a few pointers that should help you out.

I would stay away from the big trade markets where all the foreigners go. They are full of shit.

As soon as they see you're foreign the price will get doubled, so always haggle.

The best market is opposite the Beijing zoo, its huge you wont miss it. I have found brand new apc's with tags there selling for around 250RMB ($35) and they are in the market just because the tag has a tear in it, so it cant be sold in the apc store.

If you want japanese denim go to Dong Si, there are 2 shops there one is called 'king of denim' and the other 'PUR' both sell lots of jap denim, red wing boots, red moon wallets.

Take the subway not the bus. They ram you into the buses like cattle, you wont enjoy it.

Be prepared to get stared at like fucking crazy. It's as if they think we are aliens.

Watch where you step, the chinese really like to spit.

Another good place to shop is Xidan. A huge new mall just opened, the shops arent that great, but some good restaurants. Opposite the mall is a good market it has like 10 floors, lots of shit but you can find some good stuff, you just gotta look around.

The electronic market is insane, definately check it out, but go with a chinese.

Just send me a message if you want any info when you're here.

  2. Baby For Sale On Ebay For One Euro

A seven-month-old baby boy has been taken away from his parents after they advertised him for sale on eBay for one euro.

Police in southern Germany took the child away on Saturday after they received calls from surfers who had seen the advert on the online auction site.

Officers have now launched an investigation into possible child trafficking charges against the parents - who claim it was "all a joke".

The 23-year-old mother told German newspaper Bild: "It was only a joke.

"I just wanted to see if someone would make an offer.

"They've taken my son to hospital and I've got to take psychiatric tests next week."

No offers were made for the child in the two hours and 30 minutes he was posted for sale.

The ad read: "Baby - collection only. Offer my nearly new baby for sale because it cries too much.

    "Male, 70 cm long."

eBay has deleted the advert and the child is currently in the care of "youth services" in the southwestern Allgaeu region of Germany.

You know what makes me laugh is that when the playstation 3's were out to buy in Asia before Europe, i tried to sell some on eBay. They removed my auction straight away saying i cant sell this product because it isnt available in Europe, which was the whole point i was doing it. But they let some parents in germany sell their baby.

  3. OK, i found someone selling these here in Beijing, and was wondering if someone could maybe compare the pictures to their own apc's to see if they are real. There are some pretty good fakes here in China now, so you can never be to sure.

  4. Not only did they ask him to sit in the toilet, but the fact they asked him to 'hang out' in the toilet makes it even funnier.

    i got another

Driver couldn't give a XXXX for child

An Australian driver has been fined for putting a seatbelt around a crate of beer instead of a five-year-old who was travelling in the car.

Constable Wayne Burnett said he was "shocked and appalled" to discover the driver's priorities when he pulled the vehicle over on a highway south of Alice Springs.

The 30 cans of beer were buckled in while the child sat on the floor.

"I haven't ever seen something like this before," he said.

"There were four adults in the car, two in the front seat and two in the back seats and in between those adults there was the carton of beer strapped in with the belt," he said.

"The child was sitting in the lump in the centre, unrestrained."

The driver was fined 750 dollars (£360) for driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and failing to ensure a child was wearing a seatbelt.
