  1. I'm looking for some slim, tapered black denim. April 77's seem much too skinny, while Skulls 5010xx are not tapered enough. The best fit would probably be dior's but I'm not looking to spend nearly so much, I just need a black pair of denim in my cycle.

Would Julian Cali's (black cot) have a fit close to dior's? I'm pretty sure they're even slimmer. Any other recommendations for black denim, if not the Julian Cali's? Looking for slim (but not skinny-skin tight jeans).

And how would sizing be for the Julian cali black cots? I'm 30 in Skull 5010xx, the Skulls sit on my waist very comfortably, if not a little loose.

have you tried Tiger of sweden Jeans line? the rockys and the kids are slim fits.

  2. well but the cali i want to buy is raw. so size down 2?

I would say only size down 1. In my experience most calis fit up the same not like hobos where it varys by the wash. but then I've not tried the no wash calis so you're back to square one lol...sorry

  3. Where can I get that dye? I skinned the knee on my APC's and Id like to try this.

    EDIT: Google saves the day.

FINDMY: what color die did you use? I think im going to try the black...

yea i would probably only use black i think any other colour would just look really unatural.

PS if you're still stuck i got my dye here http://www.fabricdyes.co.uk

  4. i wear size 33 in hobo sugar and hobo nikki sixx. what size should i get for raw calis?

do you have any other hobos. just wanted to compare fits with the others. wanted a pair of nikkis but never got them :(

  5. So I've had the Hoboken darkdancers since august, and the top button popped off.

Is this fixable or am I fucked?

i'd say you were pretty fucked. depends how much you like them/ wanna spend on them i guess.

  6. oh sorry, i should have been more specific. I'm aware of these sites, one of my pairs comes from blackbird actually. I'm going to paris in a week and was wondering if anyone knew of any shops that carry scandinavian designers or JR more specifically in Paris.

    thank you

could try LE66 in Paris...they stock alot of mainstream brands but in amonst it is some good stuff.

  7. does anyone know where to get Julian Red in paris? or any stores that specialize in Swedish fashion. I check the superfuture city guide and i can't seem to find any mention of JR. I already have 3 pairs of hoboken and would like to maybe find a pair of dark dancers.

    Thanks for any help.

dark dancers are a ss07 line and are no longer made. there is a simliar hobo over dye out feb for ss08

  8. Did you not read ONE POST above you?

Yea, not sure how i missed that.

...Yes table salt will do it...Im not doing mine in a bucket...i wanted to give them a good soak and make sure the dye covers the jeans so im putting it all in a washing machine and crossing my fingers.

  9. no you are not retard, compare to other people''s post, this one is way more productive. as for the final result, i think it's gonna be pretty cool

Good stuff, that has given me the motivation i needed. will post before and after shots. probably be next week.

im excited to get me jeans back.

  10. Just give the P.Lim NY boutique a call, I'm sure they'd be happy to do a phone order for you.

i didnt know they did that.

Do you know if they do refunds? as i have never tried on any phillip lim on before so not sure how it fits up.

    Cheers

  11. I have an old pair of JRs whish started life as Blackest black over dyed.

they havent worn great this past year an now look like a old pair of topman jeans.

so i want to dylon them...am i a retard or is this going to look awesome?

  12. Is hem and haw owned by the guys from bobby's cuts off flinders lane? I think that's correct? I was chatting to him one day and I recall him saying it was his own label. the guy there used to manage the nudie store in little collins...

Yea i think so, Frederik and Thom, i know one of the guys used to design for Mjolk and the other managed Nudie. the whole idea was meant to be Mjolk Attention to detail, Cheap Monday price point.

I think it has potentual to become a real household brand.

  13. haven't tried on hem & haws suits from this season, but they did look relatively nice on the hanger. i assume they fit on the slimmer side. the design wasn't too radical (which I think is a good thing for suits). made in new zealand and from 100% wool (from memory) - so there are two attributes that put it above and beyond many other suits in the price-bracket.

mjolk suits. nice cuts, nice materials, quality of construction is sub-par and the price is accordingly over the top (think $1000+).

i have a hem and haw jacket, very sleak and understated, it's fitted and relitivly slim.

Tryed on some of the Mjolk horse hair jackets earlyer this year, they were about £300, but they did go up to about £600 i think. their Cardigans are also awesome.

  14. Right now definatly Mjolk, material boy/ another boy and hem and haw.

hem and haw is a kind of sister brand to Mjolk, they share designers...also heard they used to design for Nudie.

loosing love for Tsubi or ksubi...whatever they're calling themselves now.
