  1. Just found my Samurai 710xx19oz from 8 years ago, been away from the raw denim scene since these got too small for me (I got fat...). Real pitty since these was just starting to get some really nice fades. Finding these makes me want to buy a new pair in correct size :).

  2. What do you guys think of washing my 710xx in the washing machine at 30 degrees without detergent to shrink down the inseam? Because I have to tripple cuff them now, or I just step on them when im not wearing any shoes.

I've done a cold soak and a hot soak, will the washing machine take out some more shrinking of the inseam?

  3. Ahh, im so sad. Lot12 710s are sold out on big and take5 doesn't have any lot12 710's left either. =(. Does anyone know of any other denim store in hong kong that might have it? Also what are some denim stores in tokyo that might have it? thanks all!

Don't really know where 2nd is situated, but I bought my 710xx lot 12 from them last week. Guess they got plenty left. So worth a try!

  4. newman search for the thread 'chainstiching in europe' there is a guy in the UK who does a chainstiching service for the users on this forum.

    also how did you size?

Ah thanks for the advice, I will check it out! I went almost true to size, bought size 33 and cold soaked them so they didn't too much. My true waist size is 86cm which is between 33 and 34 inches.

  5. ^double cuffs?

Imo the fit is spot-on and the cuffs are looking good on these.

So i'd wear'em just as they are without hemming...

Thanks! Yup its double cuffs. The inseam is long as hell since I just cold soaked these, guess I just rock these as they are, since I can't get chainstich here in sweden.

  6. Just got my Samurai 710xx from second, lot 12 with arcs and tabs. Pitty that they got stuck in customs and I had to pay 80 euro, guess I should have avoided the Thunder Soap.

But here they are post soak, and I like the fit, went true to size. Will be a pleasure to break these babies in.

  7. Crosspost from evo thread.

Here's my LVC 501 1966, 8-9 months of wear one inital soak and then 2 machine washes at 30 celsius. I can't understand why I always get major crotch blow outs :S

    Sorry for the bad pics.

  8. I need a little help with the sizing of Samurai 710, these will be my first japanese jeans. These are the ones Im talking about: http://en.item.rakuten.com/2nd/sj-s710xx19oz/

I measured my LVC 1966 who fit regular on me, and they are 86 cm in waist and 29 cm in the thigh. I also measured a second pair I own, who are a bit more snug (which I like) and they measure 84 cm in waist and 28 cm in thigh.

And a second question, is it good to order directly from rakuten, or is it better to order via a proxy service?

  9. I repost my question, is it good to order directly from rakuten? Im thinking of buying these:

Should I get 33" or 32" in the Samurai 710xx?

  11. Im about to retire my LVC 501 1966, and Im thinking of getting a pair of Samurais. If I want a little slimmer cut than the LVC 1966, what Samurai model should I pick?
