-American Apparel: For dire circumstances only, i.e. slow train to Pash

-Goyard: If Goyard were the only luxury luggage maker in the world, I doubt anyone would touch it. But because it's couched among superior monograms, people end up wearing it pretty often.

  3. They must carry some men's items; if not leather jackets than suede sometimes. My friend said she found moccasins and a studded jacket for her boyfriend there.

There are other offerings for women too. The website has had peep-toe heels for a while now.

  4. The leather cuffs idea sounds nice, I like Roger Vivier's pilgrim ones- there should be more jewelry along puritanical lines

You should check out Rosenkrantz and Rosenberg of Nervous System, they use an iterative design process and algorithms to make superstrong, really thin metal cuffs and necklaces. Thinspiration- it's funny how something so visually resonant can arise out of quotidian impulses.

  5. *sigh* Well, Amy Larocca thought it was funny. It's she, not he, ninja not nigga. And it's not a random comparison- they're both Totem men for a reason.

Both make obvious references to a specific aesthetic but only one gets called out on it. That doesn't make sense because unlike Taralis, Raf isn't living in a vacuum. He's not tethered to what has happened to men's fashion in the past. Sure, he'll relate fashion to culture but along with the old he offers up a variety of new shapes and materials.

Taken out of context Raf's pieces show evidence of evolution. They reiterate innovations and visions but display his own point of view too- something Taralis has yet to master.
