  1. I'm looking forward too see it.

But the problem is that Hedi Slimane created the Dior Homme identity from scratch, as if it was his own line. Now, this skinny silouhette is identified as the Dior Homme look, and Kris Van Assche is perpetuating this (and the customers seem to follow). Hedi will probably have trouble to create a whole new identity that doesn't look like Dior Homme 2.0.

Concerning the jeans/tees/sneakers, and all this kind of stuff, he will certainly make some.

After all, he signed with LVMH, and all that LVMH wants is to make benefits (look at the LVMH brands, they all have tees/jeans/sneakers, from Vuitton to Givenchy).

    completely agree.

however, i think he will always stick to the skinny silhouette, he did that even at ysl.

he created a rock edge oriented image for dior homme, hopefully he will create a different image, a different man for HEDI SLIMANE.

i wish he would have signed with PPR Gucci group that houses Alexander McQueen instead; i think there is more creative freedom there than with LVMH..

  2. i hope he goes back to fashion, when he was at ysl and the first few seasons of dior homme. i'm sure there won't be any over used logos, denim, tees, etc... well until lvmh wants to devour the masses and make $$$ like they did with dior homme.

i still don't understand people paying so much and buying it because of the logo or brand tag.. how do you justify that? pay for design, not a t-shirt with a bee stitched on it..

that's why fashion is deteriorating, it has to provide for the mass that want LV reprinted over and over on canvas wallets or a bee on a basic tee.. sorry that was brutal, but seriously, it is the truth.

  3. Yeah, sure was. Thanks for the reference to it. They weren't all that friendly like I'm used to at most salons, but the haircut made up for it.

did you lighten your hair too?

that is a very very nice haircut.. i'm jealous.

  4. from the collection he showed to the collection being produced is totally different. i think kva lost some control, like most designers do... still slimane's stuff is still much better.

the dior show (hopefully a real runway) is on jan. 20.. hopefully, since kva has more time, he will produce a good collection. i'd rather see a whole new dior homme by kva than a cheap imitation of slimane's work.

  5. where can i get them (in an actual store) in southern california, specifically orange county or even l.a.?

don't burn me at the stake! i did look over the posts but a lot of the websites/stores that had them don't anymore..

    THANKS!

  6. hi! i'm new here :)

i'm just curious to know how much do dior jeans really stretch. i mean if they're raw, wouldn't after a wash it would shrink a lot? therefore you would need to size up? i keep reading that people size down b/c they stretch as you wear.. do you not wash them afterwards?

i'm a true 27 (when i measured my waist).. i wear a 27 in cheap mondays and can barely fit in any 28 jeans in other brands.. they tend to run big. i'm trying to give examples of my size in other jeans.. i wear a 25/26 in american apparel slim slacks.. yeah sizing is weird.

if anyone can help me out.. can i even fit in dior jeans?

i'm so skinny :( hopefully not too skinny for dior.
