  1. Explain this last part. So He's releasing "see clear now" (or whatever the fuck his commercial album is called) as a free dowload, and then dropping potential grime classic "Race Against Time" in a couple months?

    That Rascal....

Other way round......See Clear Now is the one he's doing for the record label, so you "pay" for it, but Race Against Time is a "street album" he's gonna release as a free download.

Apparently both to be released/leaked on the same day....

    Even more genius/rascal......

I've got a lot of time for Wiley.......he's a genius in my opinion

  2. Skreamism Vol 5 is SO dope, will be out V soon...

Listen to this and post your thoughts...money back if you don't like...

    Bond, James Bond by Noisses

(is a free download by the way)

Oh and Wiley new album is pretty good too, but watch out for the free downloadable one which he is releasing as a fuck you to his current label, have not heard it but heard good things....

  3. Yancey boys is sooo good.

88 Keys Death of Adam, gave this a listen, LOVE the J*Davey Dirty peaches track, just excellence....

In regards to GZA, missed him in LND, and missed Ghostface too it seems.

Did manage to catch the amazing GOOD Showcase at Kanyes afterparty, was pretty much hip-hop heaven, nearly died when nas came on, too much!

  4. Looking forward to seeing Ghostface in London this month.

Do you mean at Fabric or elsewhere? Could you let me know?

Going to see GZA live tomorrow. Fuck yes!

Let me know how it is, considering going next week in LND.

    Lowery:

Computer Love is genius, Jay Electonica is also good times.

Love this thread, co-sign on the Black Milk, oh so good, 'Tip's album, Shaka, Manwomanboogie and many more. Illa J's Yancey boys is on rotation...feel so guilty bootloegging that i must buy it to redeem myself....

For the beat heads seek Harmonic 313's latest untitled EP...beats are simply disgustingly good...needs to be listened too LOUD and with lots of bass.

  5. Cudi's mixtape is pretty fresh but i cannot stop listening to Buff1 There is only one, i wish i had bought on CD, but times are hard!

Also Spec Boogie- Bed Stuy is a great track at the moment (no link)

Paul white- producer from london town is doing some amazing beats, listen to For you and me via myspace, great beats http://www.myspace.com/paulmw

illa J- We are here, unreleased track from Dilla with lil brother illa J on the mic, http://www.mediafire.com/?mimxyszw5fb

Also loving Dorian Concept and HIGHLY recommend everyone in this thread download F.A.M.E's album, Hardwork experience, http://www.gdmworldwide.com/hwdownload.html

  6. Wholeheartly agree with this comment, he needs to be supported, such a seriously good hip-hop album, also where would Flying Lotus fit in the music spectrum? electronica/breaks/hip-hop/?

Hands down, Buff1 released what is probably the best hiphop record in 2008 thus far. He had a great record last year which was sadly overlooked but this shit is superior. This guy knows how to pick beats and he knows how to rip em to pieces.

Video for one of the best tracks.

  7. Any advice would be great:

My legs are 36" (can sometimes depending on cut get away with "34) and my waist is 27 (usually wear a 28 for comfort but 26 is also fine) so finding a decent pair of jeans is the bain of my existence.

    Denim history:

Had the most amazing pair of womens LVC denim a 1941 model i think? That i bought 3 years ago from DSM, (27W 36L) wore to death and now can be deemed unwearable, (but still do as they're amazing)

Bought a pair of April 77' last year (26W/36") that shrunk to a stupid level but look beautiful after a year worth of wear, but don't like cut, no good for everyday wear....

Have been looking at the Samurai Geisha as i want a comfortable but slim-ish cut as to flatter but not a paint-on look.

Any advice from you denim addicts as to what model/brand would be good, would be great.

  8. I just wrote the biggest guide/what i experienced after being there for 9 days during fashion week, if anyone is interested let me know and i will type something up again later.

I had good times in Seoul, didnt know how much Koreans loved to drink!

  9. ¿

being part of a decent fashion school you will have countless chances for intern anyway..

    who are you working for?

I graduate LCF and am interning at the moment at a magazine, not saying it doesn't help, but if you're doing styling especially no point going to uni as it will not help at all. But if you are designing then you need to learn of course, but so many places take on interns and if the interest is there they will teach you the rest.

Uni is excellent experience and i had the best time, but sometimes it isn't worth it when you know you're gonna have to go and intern anyway. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

  10. Agree with you Deez. I use to skate when i was in my early teens and as black girl got the werid wft you doing kinda thing, but i didn't do it cos i saw it as a white thing to do, my friends were skaters and you get influenced. I've just recently started up again because commuting is bullshit. Love the NYT but sometimes they get it SO wrong!
