  1. ^ i think it depends on the asking price for me.

i have the same problem all the time. i think the browsers change the colors of jpgs quite often. don't know how to go around it.

nice pics of your indys nonetheless. the colors getting richer.

If you have firefox 3.0 install this plugin, you can configure it to use the same color profile that iphoto is using or any other compatible color profiles...

  2. lulz cactus triggers suck.

and it is very annoying when people try and defend them by saying that they dont need 100% reliability.

theres alot more to a 580exII/sb800 etc than an lcd an f stop calculators, it is wierd that you would bring that up since your vivi has a calculator too.

Oh I know they suck, im saving up for pw. But I have both vivitar flashes and 580 exl,

and I can produce very similiar shots with each. The 580 weighs a ton more than the viv.

I had this conversation with a buddy of mine. Someone whos just dropped lets say 1600$ on a slr kit, is going to want to buy a flash sometime in the near future if they are really interested in photography and they might not have the money for a 450$ flash and 600$ for 2 PW.

  3. I have a Nikon D50 and I've been using the kit lens for about a year, and I'm ready to upgrade. I mostly do photos of people - portraits and stuff - I've started to do some shoots for my work though, going to festivals and performances to take pictures.

Can anyone suggest a good next-step lens?

A low fstop 50mm or maybe a 35mm prime lense.

    Something like ...

    AF Nikkor 35mm f/2.0

    AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 or f/1.8

  4. I've got a 40D and I love mine. To each his own. I find Nikons menus to eleborate to get around quickly. Although im sure if I had the camera for a couple days I'd get used to it. Meh...

Great companion for anyone whos got an slr or planning to buy one. If you have been looking at flashes, there are a bunch of fancy ones on the market, sold by nikon and canon, with all these fancy lcd screens, menus, built in f/stop calculators, etc.

Holding my vivitar 285HV manual power selection flash today I feel I can still compete with all the new flashes. They've been around for a long time and they do their job. I've got 2 of them, matched with cactus wireless flash triggers (they are pooo). I really need to buy some pocket wizards or something.

  5. i just sold my old/too small s7000vx's and snatched the last pair from gordon, i went up 1 or 2 sizes from my natural waist for a loose ass, comfy ass, workwear lookin ass fit naw mean? theyre so anti-sufu fit, i think im going to show them lotsa love. theyre so breezy, prolly be the only jeans i wear this summer im starting to think. in the wash now, photos later

Exciting, I need me a pair just like that. My thighs arent going to fit into slim denims sooon enough.

  6. I agree completely, that would probably make this photo stand out more. I was looking for a darker look, however, and I was really struggling with reflections. Plus, all I had was an umbrella, :D . I'll take more down the line as my equipment expands. Thanks though.

    Haha, alright.

Thanks for the positive comment on mines.

  7. great shot legacy, heres my take on a shot of a 350z...

    2266054373_e1614509da.jpg

Shot with a silver umbrella on the left, ambient from the right, and a hard light on the wall with a Rebel XT + 70-200 f/4.

You need atleast 2 more lights in your photo. 1 that I know would make things alot better. A large fill light on top of the car. Maybe a big softbox light

  8. Yeah I like this fit better than the typical "way too tight" dior fit you see on here. That super tight look is more of a fad I think, and in a year or two you will look out of place wearing that tight shit.

I also agree with the other guy that said you should hem them if you want to, if you want a classy pair of jeans you cant go wrong with a nicely tailored-to-fit pair of diors. The way I see it, why spend 400 on diors if you can get the skinny, stacked, worn-n-torn look from cheaper jeans? The more you pay the better they should fit i.m.o

    Your to poor for dior.

2 year investment on dior jeans.....right..

  9. The fuck you giving out muscle mass advice for?

Im an ectomorph, at 156lbs now actually, scale was wrong, 4% body fat, and I compete in triatholons. I work out with a personal trainer, and I've learnt a lot from him in the past 3 years. Don't call me on my weight.
