  1. ive always bought the same pair twice, mainly cos i used to wear 30"leg in edwins and only interstate in london used to carry them so id get 2 t a time. had 2 greenvilles, then 2 nashvilles and then sized up in the nashvilles.then i got lvc 66 in 30x32,then got them in 30x34 but last week i got the skull 5010 6x6 in a 29.theyre awesome, easily the stiffest jeans ive ever had.i think the only reason to buy the same jeans again is if you have to mail order them and cant try before you buy.otherwise switch it up a bit..

  2. inaya hit the nail on the head with short circuit, batteries not included is a bad one along the same lines.E.T. is the worst tho,i only saw it once as a kid and cried like fuck and hid under a chair.my older brother was pissing himself.cunt.

  3. just got my 6x6's thru yesterday, took a risk and dropped to a 29 and they are laying on the pain but i think theyll be perfect in a couple of weeks.i usually wear a 30 so anyone considering what size to get could bear this in mind,i initially got 31 and they were massive.i wear a 30 in lvc 67505 and a 30 in the edwin nashville and greenville.skulls are stiffest by a long way, still cant get over it...

  4. only ever seen rrl and lee selvage in tk,regular levis outlets are the shout(bicester is best but portsmouth is good on a lucky day too.swindon is very rarely the scene of a lucky find, and bridgend never has anything).

  5. can anyone recommend a good boot/chukka for under 200? preferably around the 130-150 mark. Basically anything nicer than a pair of timbos, which will be my last resort, haha. The visvim buckminster chukkas are great but I can't find a pair in my size. Clarks maybe?

    sorry,forgot to tick quote,good luck

  6. you can get 67,55 and some of the 30's models in levis outlet stores in the uk,some for as little as $80us.some are meant to be seconds but i think they are just returned sale or return stuff,as lots of shops over here over-order on lvc.also,a several stockists have shut down.i think they may have the raw type 2 jackets someone was asking about, i think theyre about $140-$160us.i found the best place for lvc in america was the thrift stores on haight in sf and melrose and fairfax in la.some were as little as $20(they werent the best though).there was one excellent vintage denim store on melrose(lots of deadstock workwear from the 50's etc.), ive seen it in denim books but cant remember the name.if anyone wants a pickup on lvc from uk outlets ill be going next week maybe, ill do it for 10% plus shipping, but will have to enquire about prices.

  7. how do the superslim skulls fit compared to lvc 67s? 2 friends have the skulls, but not in my size to try.i wear 30/34 in the one wash 67,but they are very tight when i buy them.i want them real tight on the leg,but roomer around the arse area.any tips?

  8. my lvc patches always look shitty compared to the jeans, but i reckon the oil you get in redwing boots will work,or shoe polish.edwin patches are the nicest leather-wise(nashville and greenville)its a pity they dont make like a '67 cut jean in that denim.

  9. I spoke with Ben last night at the Levi SF store. While they haven't received the Fall '07 batch of '47 501s, he told me that they had not been re-cut in any way. He's the guy in charge of the LVC section of the Flagship store, so I would assume he knows more than most.

i wouldnt pay too much attention to the people in the sf lvc dept.,when i went there they didnt know their arse from their elbow.they only had 2 pairs of raw denim in the whole place, and were hopeless when asked any questions.perhaps i just got unlucky and asked the wrong people, but i spoke to more than 1 staff member.
