Sorry for the untimely bump, and the essay below. I just think that Miamians need more representation around here... It feels good to know that we have some "muscle" when it comes to higher-end fashion and exclusivity of material, albeit not much. So i finally went to the three stores. Not that it carries much credit, but here are my thoughts on them:

=Arrive: Absolutely worst of the three. it seemed like every shelf and hanger was adorned with bape of other generic "hypebeast"-ish brand. Total turn-off.

=Barneys: Decent selection. And that's that.

=Base: I was blown away. This is by far my favorite discovery in this city. The stock is vast and the staff is amazing. I went with no real intentions of buying anything, and almost came out with this fabulous, fabulous wool peacoat. Didn't get it because the weather here doesn't grant such extravaganza, and it would sit in my closet for years on end.

We should keep this thread alive somehow. Share your thoughts, tips, advices. Let's bring Miami back to the map!

That's what i thought... I didn't know of any Barney's selling the shit i see at aventura mall and the like. That's really good to hear though. I was craving to actually try on some CdG before buying it online. Very happy indeed. Let me ask you, i've never been to the Base and Arrive (?) stores down there either. That's what i'm trying to keep away from, since it is so abundant around here. In that light, how are base and arrive like? I'm bascially looking for stuff that i wouldn't normally find at Bal-Harbour, or other various malls... Something more "exclusive", if you may...
