  1. A nice breather after the near cardiac attack/shock of the totally dipped white paint #2004 pic.

Except for Bishamonten dice/diakoku design, loves the rest based on pics.

Whilst looking back at their blog, can anyone recall their Nevada Prototype Jean announcement back in June 07? Supposedly based on the famous pair back in 1800s. Appreciate if anyone can enlighten me whether they did retail it for the masses. Many thanks!

  2. True size : 32"(81cm min, 83 cm max).

Evisu No.2 #2000 - tag size 31". Sanforized, no shrinkage but stretched 1" at least.

Evisu No.1 #2000 - tag size 35". Made small, shrink at least 2" to 2.5". Not sure about stretch yet.

Evisu No.1 #2004 - tag size 34". Same shrinkage rate as above. Stretched at least 1".

LVC 501XX '47 - tag size 34". Made small (measured - 33.4" raw). Shrink 2". Toit. Veli toit. But stretched at least an inch.

    LVC 501XX ' 55 - tag size 34".Shrinked 2". Stretched at least 1".

  3. Perhaps its a warning system. When it rips, your butts too big, and it's time to size up.

LOL...you really put a smile on my face on an otherwise mundane day :D

Jeez...$678 for a pair. And what's with the limited availability remark anyway?

  4. ^^ that's a Japanese crane bird ..

Thanks uno...but was actually refering to the red label patch with rivets inbetween the 2 pockets. Sorry! Am curious to know whats it for...a friend half jokingly said it is an ahem...arse cheek clamper whatever that means. I personally think it is a nice touch to the design...

  5. Holy sanforization! These mamas really took my breath away Casper! Fit pic puh-leeze...

BTW, been always meant to ask this, what do you call that thingie between the 2 pockets? It seemed that only Evisu has used it in their design so far...

  6. Uno, Casper..at least you guys have a pair each. Like the No.0, Evisu Parisian line used to remain elusive...now, it is gone, extinct. Hopefully this is not the end for this line yet.

0331-slim version, almost akin to # 2005, without the hip flare especially, which is bane to me. Here's crossing my finger that International will start carrying them AND open up its order acceptance from where I am residing...

  7. I am planning to get either Knappave 1880's or 1901 501. I need help/advise on which size I should get. My true waist is 32". My 501 55 is size 34" and post wash, is just about right. Should I get size 34" or size down for the above 2 models?

  8. Thanks for compliments. Most evisu pics posted here are great too.

Sorry, I can't read kanji but someone did translate it to me before I chose it online, I just have forgotten - :o but it definitely does not mean "smack on my ass...:P .

I will try to post fit pics soon. FYI, as it is usually the case of evisu on me, it is quite baggy, with hip flares, definitely not SuFu fit. Honestly, I would need to do tons of situp and cut down on my fav activities - eating and drinking - to achieve the DD+1 look....

  9. Retrieved this item from me Mom's place last weekend. Actual arrived nearly a month ago...its a #2000 No.1 with specified left pocket kanji. As for fit pic, maybe will post it in couple of weeks time.

  10. I only could think of Wong Kar Wai last 3 movies, In The Mood For Love, 2046 and My Blueberry Nights. Despite internationally acclaimed and winning awards for the 1st 2 mentioned above, personally I find it a complete recycle of his earlier, much more superior directorial output, quite a self-mastubatory exercise by someone I once put as my top 3 fav directors of all time.

  11. Whoa kush. Great product at a great price. Lucky...

BTW, on jacket, I have been itching to get myself a evisu No.1 jacket, probably either Type 1 or 2, but ain't sure about the measurement and shrinkage rate. Any advise?

  12. IMO, from the pics, it looks legit, with reference to the yamane rivet, made in japan label, black & yellow, tiger selvedge. It may have been hemmed (non-chain stiched). I don't really see the leather patch, so I am not sure which version it is.

However, not a fan of the diakoku design though...

  13. For Irish, Bushmills is nice, the best to go for without paying silly money is the single malt 10 year distilled. Bushmills is the oldest licensed whiskey distiller, 1600 I think.

Jameson and Middleton are also very good.

Agree. Particularly single malted Black Bush Irish Whiskey by Old Bushmills.

  14. hi guys, i did some research but just basically want affirmation before i pull the trigger

ive been scoping out some 1947 501s but am a little undecided on which size to grab. I tried on a pair of 34s and they fit me pretty decently, but thats without a soak......If i purchase a size 36, they will shrink to about a 34 waist? I read due to the fact that theres more material, 36+ should size up 2 in stead of one in order to compensate for the shrinkage....so i can go with a 36 and be fine?

I swear im not a newb, its just that the lvc thread doesnt have structure like some of the other denim superthreads. Thanks for the help.

and i guess it should be mentioned that im nut trying to get the nut-hugger effect here. Im taking a break from dior to let my balls breathe and better improve my chances of procreating in the future

If I am not mistaken, LVC 47 501 are generally made 1 size smaller than actual tag size.

My LVC 47 measured is as follows :

    Presoak tag size 34" = 33" actual.

Post soak (hot) = 31" actual or around 81cm.

36" tag size (actual possibly 35"), post hot soaking should give you 33" ie around 84cm.

However, there are websites which states that the size only applied to 34" and below,

thus meaning 36" is a "true" 36"....maybe someone who owns a 36" can clarify on this.

  15. Thanks Cheep.

I had to give it up unfortunately. The store assistance was kind enough to allow me to measure the brown box/wrangler evisu and the tagged 32" in actual is approx 86cm.

Maybe this would explained the ultra baggy look when I tried it on...

I wear between 81 ~ 83 cm max. I reckoned size tagged 30" would be ideal for me but

they ran out of the size.

BTW, is it safe to assume that in general, unless expressly stated, all Heritage line

    is sanforized?

  16. Saw and tried the brown box wrangler inspired evisu today.

Hopefully, someone could kindly advise me on the followings :

    1) Should I get it as per tag size? My existing pair of #2000 No.1, I sized up 2 inches

from my true waist size and it fits nicely after hot soak.

    2) I could be wrong but are there 2 different fits of this model? The one I tried on

    is pretty baggy all around.

    Thanks.

  17. As far as I know, charge's on suspicion of tax evasion, since Mar 06. Not sure what's the current development though.

Personally, I still like evisu, if it is hand painted with simple pair of kamome or kanji wordings but not when they go loco on certain designs like electrical diakoku, multiple pockets, bonsai etc etc.
