  1. Well LVR discounts VAT, so thats 17.5% off, which compensates for the Australian import duty...

Thanks James.... im not so familiar with tax.. does this mean i only need to pay GST? this happens to all purchases from overseas right?? Does it make a difference if i use proxy?

  2. i forgot to ask the following in the above post:

if anyone sees a good deal online for the domir doma octopus scarf (i dont know the actual name of it) please let me know. i have no idea what they retail for but its prob to much in my mind for a single scarf.

i like the look of those gloves D.

Atelier does and it comes in three colors. apparently they were having 40% off everything over the weekend but too bad its monday over there already. however i'm waiting up on my stuff and they are gonna let me know if i could get this discount or not. I could do a proxy if you really want them.

  3. You pay 17.5% import duty, then 10% GST on the purchase price and import duty (double dipped taxes). Say you spent 1000 EUR..

    That'd be $1,800 AUD, x 1.175 import duty = $2115

    Then $2115 x 1.1 GST = $2326.5

Basically, as soon as you cross the $1000 AUD threshold, you pay 30% in taxes on top.

Thanks James for the info. 50% off and 30%tax on discounted price it is about little more than 20% off... i need to really think about this and make my decision before 10pm..

Plus you need to spend over 1000 euro, to get 50% of your NEXT purchase.

its not worrying me since a friend is gonna cop 1000

  4. awesome, then you get to pay 15% customs fee and do 3 hours of import paperwork .

is 15% all you need to pay? Is it worth doing? im trying to cop a rick leather at half price im really tempted..

fuck i read that wrong nufish and got really excited.

how did you get it wrong?

  5. yes i agree with you on this especially after i post those pics together and compared them. I am not too sure about what kind of 'red' they are as attachment leather seems to be darker or it could be the lighting. I just think darker red looks better with my skin color.

anyway, you have any idea where to cop?

edit: i wear 52 and i dont know if japanese brands even make their clothes in this size..

  6. nlim3482: It's just time for me to get a new suit since I have lost some weight/ put on some muscle, the old one no longer fits. i'm gonna spend around 1k and herringbone seems to be the best option for me.

corey: thanks mate i'll drop by tomorrow/weekend
