Is there a Kiehl's product that is particular good? Visiting back home and noticed they have a small Kiehl's store here and have never used anything from them so wondering if there's anything worth going for.

I actually don't care about burgers that much I just liked the 'concept' of that curry instagram and was interested in seeing non-ramen ones. Some of my favourite meals have been from seeing random insta post then going to try it.

Blacows is small but I thought it was okay. I'm okay with few fries since I don't eat much. This place in ã¤ãã° hi-5 does the same except their burgers are pretty big. Upon retrospect the bad part about Blacows for me is how soft the patty is. I don't know if it's because of wagyu fat content and it being unable to get grilled more but the burgers always melt.

i hit up a few burger joints in tokyo last time but since japan still doesn't know what real bacon is, pretty much all my burger experiences suffered. by the end i was ok with just a freshness burger.

 

are there any decent 串カツ places in tokyo? love that plebe shit but haven't seen much of it outside osaka.

I thought you were against some of this pseudo outdoorsy style? Wonder Mountain is good my only issue is they make pants look really similar all the time. Styling issue or something. 

Speaking of outdoorsy, mountain research summer stuff is nice. I wouldn't wear like half of their collections but still probably one of my favourite stores.

N.O. iced coffee is actually what I had and thought it was whatever. Even if the area was more convenient I wouldn't bother again. Little Nap dabes. Though I think Bluebottle is opening Aoyama like next month? Meh.

And re:ramen hype I think it has to do with internet / social media culture obsession with Japanese anything. Post any bowl of Ramen from any restaurant you can think of on instagram for like++++++

also, i think the ramen hype is partly driven by wypipo's ignorance about japanese food. 

they think sushi = japanese food. most americans who don't live in LA or NYC have never been exposed, or know that japanese comfort food exists. most americans, even those who claim themselves as foodies, don't know shit about anything. 

 

has any1 been to the roof top bar at Andaz? apparently, it's nexxxxxxt level. i was looking at the menu but was kinda underwhelmed. but then again, what do i know? some of the best g&t i've had in my life were made with fucking beefeater and wilkinson. 

Next level because of food or atmosphere? 52nd story hotel bar just sounds like Park Hyatt pt. 2 but newer. 

Waited in line for bluebottle, shrugged irl afterwards.

Yaeca fits my underdeveloped body better than W+H.

I went to that 'new'ish kikunobu tokyo location the other day. Pretty nice I guess. All the employees were wearing those Gucci monk strap shoes. 

The quality is pretty good but I don't know if the textiles are that superior to anything else (paging djraj) 

I like it for looks / fit but I don't think it's anything that special. I guess there are a number of smallish Japanese brands that do similar and Yaeca just happens to be one of the more popular ones hence the buzz. It is 'boring' but if that's what you're into then it's good. 

fethers goffa x is good. 

I've never found anything at Ragtag and Koenji isn't 'for me'. Was there like 5 days ago looking for shoes and everything is like size 7 mens so nope. Also an over-abundance of like ralph lauren and hilfiger 90s windbreakers. 

Nakameguro is my favourite as well but I need to find more things to do there. I only ever go to like 1ldk and .,...,.,,research and yaeca apartments then don't know what else to do. Food recs. pls.
