Do warp knots make denim less durable? i would think that since they're more exposed, they would be more likely to fray, especially in high wear areas like the seat, which would eventually lead to holes. Or is it nothing to worry about?

anyone know anything about these??

I would just like to give some sizing advice on these.

These are 203s (which are sanforized) and I ordered a pair in size 31, while my F380s are size 32 which fit snugly at the waist

The size 31 felt pretty forgiving around the waist and throughout the legs,so I guess it would look pretty baggy once the denim stretches (although I haven't worn it enough to notice any stretching). The inseam is also pretty damn long, I think mine is around 37 inches after a hot wash to see if I can get these to shrink a bit more. Since I don't own a pair of 103s, I can't really compare the fits, but I suspect that they are probably cut from the same pattern, just with different denim (sanforised vs unsanforised) given how people comment on the 103s being relatively slim fitting for japanese denim. If I had known about this, I probably would have sized down 2 size rather than 1 to get a fit closer to true-to-size 103s.

Of course, that's just my own experience with the 203s, so my advice may or may not be useful

Quick question: In case I have my jeans hemmed, should I ask them to save the extra denim in case of future repairs, or would the denim strips be too small to work with?

Since following gimme's advice, I hot washed my F380s and the wash produced some leg twist, so I assume that it shrank even more after the previous hot soaks. The fit has improved, but the seat is still a bit baggy for my taste.

I did order SDA 203s though (didn't go for the 103s since it was cheaper and I still intend to wear my F380s) and they just arrived. The fit is great! Almost exactly what I was looking for. Since I heard it was sanforised, I sized down 1 and this is where my question starts.

For sizing down 1, the waist is still pretty comfortable, in fact, the waist is still slightly big, nothing significant enough to affect the current fit, but its noticeable. The inseam is also longer than I thought. So I want to confirm that the 203s are sanforised, and if it isn't, should I soak it anyway to get the small amount of shrinkage out of the way before I start wearing it?

I have a new wallet, but I have a problem. The wallet is pretty long, so it always sticks out of my back pocket no matter how big the back pockets on my pants are. Now, this wouldn't be a problem if it had a ring to which I can attach a wallet chain to, however, it doesn't have one.

So how do I use it without me looking like a mark for pickpockets? I don't want to punch a hole in it unless its a last resort, so do I have to keep it in my bag or what?

I posted here before, looking for a new pair of jeans, but now I've come up with a few choices.

I like the fading im starting to see on my F380s but I have a major problem with the fit since the seat and the lower leg is way too baggy. I've given my jeans a hot soak since the initial soak and now, but it didn't help at all. I like the fit of my nudie slim jims but I want a pair with better denim. I'm looking for a straight leg that is just a tad looser than my slim jims, and these are what I've narrowed it down to:

SDA 103

KMW 1980

AW Grifters

And what would be the equivalent fit for samurais and 45rpms?

Would you recommend sizing down on the straights? the fades are awesome, but the crotch rips kind of make me hesitant of sizing down

A couple of my jeans have a loose thread sticking out from the inseam of one of the legs. What do I do with it? Can I snip it off? Also, one pair has a loose thread sticking out of the outseam (or whatever you call the thing that's on the opposite side of the inseam); would it also be safe to cut it?

I'm around 6'2" 170lbs and I have a pair of 32" Flathead F380s (soaked twice). The waist fits great, but i'm looking for something with a more fitted seat (or whatever the ass area is called), since it looks baggy.

So are there any recommendations for a pair of jeans that are more fitted than the F380s in the ass area, but also keeps the straight leg?
