  1. the greatest girlfriend a guy could ever have? she loves how your obsessed with sufu and becomes a lurker here, thinking its cute that you "internet buddies" made an appreciation thread about her. She contacts samurai in japan and buys you their entire 07A/W collection sent to the pad. She starts wearing raw selvage herself. Her paparazzi pics of both of you show a clean cuffed selvage line with incredible stacking. "Us" magazine notices she wears the same jeans everyday and notices the slight changes in them while she has been dating you and does a 6 month comparison photo spread of the changes in her jeans. The magazine has no idea what brand of jeans she is wearing and makes an article about the actresses "mystery jeans".

As her obsession with japanese denim, sufu liked brands and you grows, you realize you are one lucky motherfucker just as you walk in the door she is laying on this couch waiting for you from your hard days work. So you snap this picture with the Canon EOS SLR she bought you because of the SLR thread on sufu....

Yes, yes, but I don't see these mystery denims with the amazing stacking in this photo!

    Nor that nipple.

  2. I've ordered from Eirei multiple times and have found her service to be excellent. Prompt replies (I'm sure she tries to respond as fast as she can, but you have to keep in mind that the whole time difference and that she does need to sleep), great communication, fast service and the photos are also good to have too. She definitely goes out of her way to get you what you want, and if there's a problem, she's upfront about it and finds a solution that works, even if it's a loss for her.

    Basically, I love her.

  3. Actually, I just got a soft perm for the first time after contemplating it for a few years. It's nothing new or ground-breaking, but just a thought if you haven't considered it before. Lot more texture than your run of the mill Asian hair that most people have. Surprisingly, it's not bad at all though I have to play around with it a while to figure out what to do...

  4. Cheers - I had just assumed that After the Quake was non-fiction, like Underground. I will have to add it to the list to read.

Yeah, After the Quake is a collection of short stories all involving earthquakes. I didn't enjoy it as much as The Elephant Vanishes, but still worth a read. Haven't been able to find a copy of Underground in person and will probably have to resort to ordering it online, but does anyone have any thoughts on this one? It's supposed to be a collection of interviews, so I'm wondering how his fictional writing style applies to this, if at all...

  5. ^what ethnic is rikki from? and how does he gets all those hot girls to pose for him lol.

Kasso is a last name from Senegal, and I suppose if you're a famous photographer women are willing to take off their clothes for you. If you're an amateur photographer, do like the rest of us and just give out Girls Gone Wild t-shirts.

  6. speaking of Murakami.. which are his "best ones"? Ive read Wild Sheep Chase, Dance dance dance and kafka on the shore, all which I enjoyed a lot, especially the 2 last mentioned. Where do I go from here?

Personally, I liked South of the Border West of the Sun and Norwegian Wood the best. Books such as The Wind-up Bird Chronicle and Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World seemed drawn out and unnecessarily long (to me at least).

I started reading Murakami after someone compared me to the protagonist in "On Seeing the 100% Perfect Girl One Beautiful April Morning", one of his short stories appearing in The Elephant Vanishes. So if you're lazy like me, take a read into some of his short stories.

  7. Finished Murakami's After Dark. Not impressed at all. I'd be interested to hear feedback from the fans on this board.

Haven't read this yet - waiting for it release in paperback first. I'll read it, but I won't expect to be impressed at all - not even to think that it was good. His books are all very similar.. the first couple I read were ok, then after a while it suddenly seemed like I was watching Austin Powers, then Austin Powers 2, then Austin Powers 3...

  8. There's a ton of users signed up on the board, but not a ton of people who post. Lots of them are e-thugs out to start t-shirt hate with England.

And yes, Asians are particularly bad at staring. They do it with everyone, superfuture or not. They look at you, and then you notice them staring, but they don't look away...
