I've ordered from Eirei multiple times and have found her service to be excellent. Prompt replies (I'm sure she tries to respond as fast as she can, but you have to keep in mind that the whole time difference and that she does need to sleep), great communication, fast service and the photos are also good to have too. She definitely goes out of her way to get you what you want, and if there's a problem, she's upfront about it and finds a solution that works, even if it's a loss for her.

Actually, I just got a soft perm for the first time after contemplating it for a few years. It's nothing new or ground-breaking, but just a thought if you haven't considered it before. Yeah, After the Quake is a collection of short stories all involving earthquakes. I didn't enjoy it as much as The Elephant Vanishes, but still worth a read. Haven't been able to find a copy of Underground in person and will probably have to resort to ordering it online, but does anyone have any thoughts on this one? It's supposed to be a collection of interviews, so I'm wondering how his fictional writing style applies to this, if at all...

Personally, I liked South of the Border West of the Sun and Norwegian Wood the best. Books such as The Wind-up Bird Chronicle and Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World seemed drawn out and unnecessarily long (to me at least).

I started reading Murakami after someone compared me to the protagonist in "On Seeing the 100% Perfect Girl One Beautiful April Morning", one of his short stories appearing in The Elephant Vanishes. So if you're lazy like me, take a read into some of his short stories.
