^^^ Where and how much?? I want those!!
I got a used (hence the scuffing!) pair on eBay for about $80. I found the picture above on a Swedish site:

The uppers seem to be very similar (maybe identical) to the RW 8130s, but the welt is a rougher tan leather, and it's finished off with a thick Vibram lug sole. Hope that helps!

I wanted to ask everyone about their experience with RW's "black chrome" leather. I've got a pair of these 8136s:
The leather's picked up scuffing from wear, which is pretty noticeable against the sort-of-shiny surface of the leather.
For those with similar RWs, what do you use for leather care? Do you polish them? Or use a treatment like Obenauf's or Sno-Seal? Some other combo? Thanks for your advice!

they have these on the broadway store? how much is retail?
They had them in the Soho store on Broadway back when it opened, and I didn't buy it at the time. They quickly sold out, and I regretted it. All their wallets had been sold out for a while, so I had someone who was visiting Taiwan pick up the wallet in a Taipei Muji store for me. However, the Broadway store just got a bunch of wallets back in stock, although not that exact model. Muji's prices are really affordable in Asia, but they mark up the prices in the US by a lot, although most stuff is still reasonably priced. I don't recall how much they're charging in Soho for wallets, but definitely between $50 and $100. Hope that helps.

Hi everyone! I recently got this untanned leather wallet from Muji. Just wondering if anyone would care to share their experience with these wallets (or other Muji leather goods). The leather is very pale and feels pretty substantial. I like the wallet a lot new, but would love to hear any evo tips from others. You can see the wallet here:

Thanks in advance!

I'm new to polishing my own leather boots, and have really appreciated this thread to get me on the right track. I found this how-to video, and thought I might share:
I'm obviously not an expert, but I found it quite helpful, and hope others will, too.

Nice kit, demonito. I really like the wooden box -- very classy!
I was at the Sartorialist blog, and he's got a series of photos taken at John Lobb in London. Some nice pictures, including an amazing shot of hundreds of lasts stacked on shelves:

Thanks for the great advice, Greg!
Being Gentleman Travelers, these boots were designed as dressier boots for the working man. Something between his working boots and a pair of real dress shoes. ... So along with this concept, he'd polish these boots, not coat them with the same conditioner he uses for his real working boots. This makes a lot of sense, and it's how I see the GTs, too. One thing I love about this thread is the amount of thought that people invest into their footwear, and this is a great example.
For the scuffs, use Oxblood Kiwi polish, which is about the closest polish to the boots' black cherry. ... After the Oxblood, next time you polish them, switch to tan or neutral. ... I'd recommend the tan or neutral for the long run, which are lighter than the black cherry tone. Use Oxblood when you get scuffs or want to move th color towards the cherry again.I just wanted to ask, will the oxblood polish stain the white stitching on the uppers? Its obviously another distinctive feature of RWs, and I'd hate to lose it through the polishing. Thanks again!

Hello, shoe masters! I've been a long-time follower of this thread, and decided to stop lurking and ask a question.
I've got a pair of RW GTs in black cherry that are a couple of months old now and nicely broken in. I haven't used anything on the leather yet, and the shoes have picked up some mild scuffing. They still look great, but I know that I need to think about leather care to keep them looking good down the line.
For those out there with the same boots, what regimen do you use to take care of them? I've used Sno-Seal and Obenauf's on other work boots in the past, but those seem to change the character of the leather and I don't know what they'd do to the GTs.
I'd be grateful to hear your collective wisdom about this. What do you use on the uppers? What about the welt and the leather sole? Thanks in advance!

No problem... the measurements are about 10.5cm x 9.5cm when closed; thickness obviously depends on how much stuff you've got in it, but it'd probably range from 2-2.5cm. If you have any other questions, let me know!
