most nba players are soft nowdays. look at them cry to the refs. jvg said it best in that he prefers basketball players who have also played football. they have another level of toughness.

squids often travel in schools. i.e. schools of squids. like many hawaiian local japs i have encountered they are usually into the same kinda shit, drive the same kinda cars, dress the same, buy the same kinda footwear, and all eat at zippy's. squid is also a tasty (and cheap) type of sushi/sashimi, but in no way can it compare to other more extravagant types. although lately i have noticed that the typical "hawaii is the best" or center of the universe/ "locals only" kinds of mentality has been getting alittle better...

note that this is more of a humourous inside joke kinda generalization. i do have like 2 hawaiian-born japanese pals.

i use bobora. maybe it depends on how others roll the r (might sound like boboda). and i'm pretty sure bobora is a local slang. i thought since we japs in hawaii use bobora and katonk, that we'd have a slang name too. haha, so is it squid or ika?

a Utah vs NO matchup sounds intriguing. CP3 and DW are two of the most outstanding young PGs in the league, however imho, it's not their time. the road to the western conf finals goes through SA until Duncan retires.

SA plays team ball. they're not the most athletic or exciting team to watch offensively, but they get the job done because of their high basketball IQ, commitment to team play/defense, and patience on the offensive end to get a high percentage shot. the team as a whole is getting up there in age so it's only a matter of time before the young squads take over being the team to beat in the west.

picked up a pair of dalton wingtips. i regret not buying them during the xmas sale because they were cheaper then. btw, did anyone see the RRL indigo dyed tee? looks really sweet, but it wasn't on sale. $115 for a tshirt is a bit much for me
