  1. Just starting a pair of these, was thinking about selling them but decided I like the details and the fit is great. Think they're last years cut, straight leg.

    A few pics:

When I first viewed this thread I was not able to see the photos in the the first post. I got mine off another SuFu member and they are the same ones as above. Ive got about 4 months wear and when I head back to California I will snap some more photos. This is from September.

  2. + Rep. Good post. Thats very sad, and very unfortunate. I love bb.com and that just taints their forums. There are many ignorant people on those boards however. Not surprised this happened. People can be jackasses there and HERE too.

  3. I used to tear natty pb up but when I bulked all the way up to 196lb :)

Haha that shit is awesome. I was at 200 over the summer but now I am living in the UK and am down to 186  My carbless diet put my lifts through the roof and packed on muscle while cutting fat at the same time. It's a slow process but worked for me.

  4. What's the leg opening like on the hipster? Are there any other first other than the the NS, NC, Rescue and Hipster?

They just came out with the Petite Standards. Go back a few pages and see the info and fits about people who have picked em up. I dont know off the top of my head about the leg opening. I want to say it is straight through the leg. These are from about 3 months ago. They have them at www.apc.fr under womens jeans haha.

  5. agreed, 6-10% is a broad range.. I should get tested but don't really have a huge urge to.. I think I'll get tested during the spring though. I heard hydrostatic testing can be fairly cheap depending on where you get it done. a friend of mine got is done for $85.. I'll have to ask him where though.

I'd have to give all the credit to my super anal diet since I don't do an ounce of cardio and I'm not naturally lean.

I'd rather spend that money on food or supps. Care to post your diet. That intrigues me more so then a workout plan.

I feel like Hydrostatic is the most accurate. I did a bod-pod test in my kinesiology lab and it told me I was at 17% or something. Calipers and BIA put me between 8.6 and 12%.

Holy hell that is a vast difference. Just go by what the mirror says. Good lighting never hurts either.

  6. ^hey i resent that comment! dont be jealous because youre "bigboned" :P

    (10)

Haha my arms are bigger than your legs. Trust me, Im not big boned and I would never want to have pipe cleaner legs.

What kind of fit was the APC Hipster? Is there any way to still get those?

I have a pair of the hipsters. I believe they are discontinued. They are similar to the NS but have a lower rise and are meant to be worns around the hips. Hence the name hipster. I originally went to buy the NS in the WeHo store but didn't have a small enough size so I picked up the hipster instead. I think they are a little straighter in the leg too. Not 100% on that.

  7. Yeah, I'm on there everyday, mainly stick to the nutrition section though. Weighted dips are awesome. I also like weighted bench dips for the triceps.

Wide-grip pullups are awesome for your back too.

I am all about the nutrition section. I am an avid reader, but don't post often. My family hates when I spit out random nutritional facts :D

prior to training. and those ones that use a "pulse" are not accurate at all. stick with calipers and/or hydrostatic bodyfat testing

I'm not sure what my bodyfat is.. I've been told by people and the range is 6-10%

6-10% is a fairly large range when you're that low. You should get tested, sub 10 is impressive but 6 would be even better. Are you naturally lean or is it diet and cardio? Also calipers can be very inaccurate but are way better then the scale types. Hyrdostatic is pricey is it not? Ive never really looked into it.

  8. Ahh, this thread brings back fond memories of bb.com. Great advice everyone :)

Ive spent way too much time reading the forums there. I love that site. Dips are great and so are pull ups for that matter. Gotta be able to lift your own weight.

  9. I wish that guy's problem was my problem. Heh, I squat, bench, curl, deadlift, clean etc. with the BFS lifting program, since my overall goal is to get strong/big too. Y'know what squatting has gotten me? The biggest legs ever.with low amounts of body fat percentage in my legs, and almost all of the some that I do have on my upper body...I dont really understand what's goin on. My lower body is huge as hell compared to my upper body.

I mean, I have big gains...but the proportions are just really confusing me here.

Looks like I gotta start bulking up then see if cutting will have any effect this spring...

I know how you feel about the legs. Mine aren't even that big but are pretty cut up. Males in general store the majority of their fat in the mid section and lower back. Where as women get it in the thighs hips and butt. You have to eliminate body fat everywhere else, then the last bit will come off your stomach. It also depends on your genetics (which you have no control over).

I would be doing more than just curls for arms and more than just bench for chest. What do you do for back besides deads? I was doing one muscle group a day with a make shift 5x5 program (kinda something I just put together on my own) and went on a carbless diet and my lifts went through the roof. All I can say is don't be scared of good fats.

  10. Great advice, eplsoccer7. If you aren't at the very least doing squats, deadlifts and bench you should re-work your routine. Those 3 exercises are so important to build overall strength and size. If coach Rippetoe knew you weren't squatting he'd have your ass.

Compounds lifts are the shit! Personally love the deads (with STRAPS). LIFT EAT SLEEP GROW REPEAT

Ahhh ok. I always thought it was power cleans that were the total body exercise, but I can see how squats are too. Thanks.

Football is ending on Thanksgiving. Going to start wrestling to lose weight. Need to get back on a lifting program.

Man wrestling diets are the worst. I had a friend back in high school and he would eat lettuce and chew gum all day. Run in garbage bags etc. Takes a lot of determination. Hats off.
