  1. Shameless plug :)

    I'm selling:

Petit Standard Sz 27 ($85 shipped)

Petit Standard Sz 28 ($105 shipped)

New Standard Sz 29 ($120 shipped)

The PS 28 and the NS have barely been worn. The PS 27 have a hint of wear but still plenty of life. None have been washed or soaked.

    PM me if interested.

  2. Cross post from the Evolution of Jeans thread:

APC New Standard, approximately 3 years (?) of wear. Multiple washes, soaks, etc... My favourite jeans until the crotch blew out...

  3. I bought these APCs about a year ago but only wore them for ~ 5 months. I started a powerlifting routine and got back into playing hockey, I've now gained way too much muscle in my thighs to wear these.

As you can see in the photos, there is some very slight evidence of wear. There is a hint of whiskering, combing and the beginnings of a wallet fade. The denim is still very dark and has lots of wear left in it.

$105 shipped within continental US and Canada.

  4. I bought these APCs about a year and a half ago but only wore them for ~ 5 months. I started a powerlifting routine and got back into playing hockey, I've now gained way too much muscle in my thighs to wear these.

As you can see in the photos, there is some evidence of wear:

    - some whiskers developing

    - some combs developing

    - wallet fade developing

    - a small spot of wear just below the top button

The color, however, is still very dark. These are BEAUTIFUL jeans and there is still plenty of life left in them! Look at it this way... I've put in all the hard work with the initial stretch :) Now you can take over and fade them out to your liking.

As you can see in the pictures, there is barely any evident wear. No loose stitching, no flaws, no fading. The denim is still pretty rigid.

  6. petit standard, indigo, sz 27 (sized down 3), day 1. looks like the indigo has a lot more give than the black denim. i took a 28 in the ps black and got a similar fit with the 27 in indigo.

  7. has anybody had any luck getting black apcs to fade? i've been living in my black PS since september and see MINIMAL fading, if any at all. just a very subtle fade where my wallet sits. would a soak get things moving quicker? i'm getting impatient. 4 months of wearing them all day, every day and nothing to show for it...

  8. Your fit is great! anyway i was wondering whether if u keep washing them will they keep stretching? and will they stretch until a maximum?

Edit: and is there u can prevent it from stretching anymore when u get the right fit?

wearing them is what stretches them, not washing. since your legs are only so big they will only stretch them up to a maximum. the more you size down the more the denim will resist the stretching, dropping the "maximum" stretched size.

  10. hagen, fit looks great. just wear them hard and maybe sag them a bit more (if that's your style). here are what mine are looking like at around 4.5 months (same thing, PS sized down 2. 30->28), you should expect the same:

i've been wearing them pretty much every day, all day for the last month or so. even slept in them a few times. they have stretched out considerably. i like the fit but i'm thinking they might need to be tightened up a bit. too early for a hot soak so maybe i'll steam them in the shower or something.
