Ugh. I don't need a pair of these at all...but its hard to pass up a sale.
Kiya - There's no 29 or 30 available on the site, does that mean you're out of stock in these sizes for the 3001?
Stupid question, I know...But I had to ask.

like atari, this thread will unfold and reveal itself in the fullness of time
3 days is nothing in denim life
patience
Well with 632 posts in less than 25 days (Nearly 25 posts a day) I was surprised to see it screech to a halt. Thats all...Sorry for being excited >.>

Hate to bump this but...What happened to this thread? No posts in 3 days?

i think you should get your TRUE waist size in dukes
they fit pretty snug on the thighs/waist but dont taper at all. they also dont stretch as much as other jeans, so dont risk sizing down too much if u cant try em before u buy em
Exactly what he said. I've worn my Dukes for almost 3 weeks now and have no stretch.

hmm well im a true to size W28..should i size up to a 29 for imperials? or is there enough stretch?
edit: judging by the ref pic, i think 28 would do me fine...i just answered my own question/.. brentos ur 5'6 130, im 5'9 135..and 30 fits you fine? did u size up for the baggy/slim look i assume
Yep, I did size up. I probably could have gone w/ a 28 for a real slim look or a 29.

I hope so. I'm so ready for these

Maybe this will help blasdro
My Imperial Dukes size 30 after a soak and hem. They're sitting at about a 32-33 inseam right now. I'm lovin this fit. Straight but on the slimmer side.
I'm 5'6" 125-130 (Heavier after dinner )
Here are my Jims in a size 29 (~3 months of wear) for reference:
I apologize for the filthy room, but I'm busy, what can I say. No time to clean.

Anyone have any possible sizing info on the Lee 101z model?
I'm super interested in snatching some of these from this sale.

Once a final word is said about what all these jeans will entail, then I'll be in or out. I'm liking alot of the ideas, but not all of em. Heh.

Just sent you a pm. Here's some of my personal wants:
- Green cloth sufu tab (wouldn't mind a white one with green letters either)
- Green stitching and green pocket liners.
- Cone black selvedge streaky blue denim
- Full selvedge (I own a pair of Earnest sewns with half selvedge that bugs me)
- Felled seams
- Silver rivets (or just silver plated rivets, if you can get em cheaper)
- Dior 21cm cut is fine. Worked for me with my sexihos. Other cuts such as KMW1980 and APC NS would also work. I don't have the right build for those super skinny type jeans (eg. Dior 19, Rockers, Cures etc...)
- Leather patch depicting anthing two things tearing apart a pair of jeans (animals, vegetables, minerals, automobiles, airplanes, whole continents, planets, Optimus Prime and Megatron, Rick Flair and Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat, Bert and Ernie, Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan etc etc...) I wouldn't mind a person getting torn apart by a pair of jeans either.
- DOUGHNUT BUTTONS!!! Looks great and quicker to undo than flat buttons during a bathroom emergency.
- 36 inseam. Not that it matters to me but it would be good for the redwoods out there. I'll be hacking off 4 inches anyway.
- Plain single stich arcuate (eg Oni) but nothing blatant (eg Imperial). Plain back pockets are boring (sorry if that offends the minimalists). If we're going with the green tab, might as well have Levi arcs as well. In green thread.
- Offset rear belt loop and thicker belt loops (not too thick, but no spaghetti loops either.
My wants are as above stated
Very excited for this. I'm lovin the whole 'green' theme. The pocket lining, selvedge, stitching and everything. I think it could be a very cool pair of jeans.

quick sizing question. i wear a 29 APC NS. theyre sized 3 down. usually buy 32's as my hips are 33". what size dukes should i get? wil 30's work?
If you want a tighter fit, go with 31. You want a more relaxed but still slim and straight, go with 32. I just bought a pair and got my true waist and thus I ended up with this straight fit I'm talking about. I've been meaning to get up some Nudie Slim Jim vs. Imperial Duke pics up. Hopefully by the end of the week.

I will try and take better pics, with flat jeans () in a couple days.
Sorry for these illusions like ken said.

from my experience in regards to perspection and the like, your so called "quick shots" don't seem to apply to them... the right back pocket is longer than the one of the left..
Ok. You're right. You caught me. I spent 2 hrs taking crappy pics..:dodgy:
I was refering to what Camel said. The back pockets do APPEAR different but in reality, they are not. The creases and folds in the jeans that were caused by me just laying them down and not actually flattening them is what caused that difference. Its a 2D image. You can't see the depth completely and if you could, you would notice that the back right pocket was closer to the camera than the other pocket due to it 'puffing' up in that spot.
I just realized how sad it is that I'm explained this matter in such depth, no pun intended!

So yeah,
Those are my pics
But the reason the pockets look off is the angle of the picture/how the jeans were just thrown on the ground...Its the same reason they look flared. I was in a hurry and just snapped some quick shots. I can take some better ones in a couple days when they come back from the tailor's.

Guess I'll be paying an extra 10 bucks only to chop off 8 inches, haha. Man, being short sucks.
No worries man.
I'm in that same motherfuuucking boat.
'Cept I'll be chopping about 6 inches

Man oh man...Reading this thread and seeing all these pics makes me want a pair soooo bad.
However I didn't have time to read all of it so here's a simple question (that i'm sure was answered somewhere in here)...
For those who wanted a slimmer fit, close to maybe a Nudie Slim Jim or Imperial Duke, did you size down at all? Or did you go for your actual waist size and they shrunk to a slim fit w/ the hot soak?

I'm ready to preorder and put up the money right now, or any time for that matter.
However, some sizing info is definitely needed.

At this price, how could I not join in on this!
I'm in! Inseam doesnt matter to me, I'd get them hemmed to a 32/33 anyways.

Ok.
So I'm in a bit of a tight bind. I can't decide: 47's, hawaii's, or okinawa's? Anyone that can tell me the biggest differences? As far as I'm told, the oki's and hawaii's are the same fit, but what are the major differences.
I've also got some questions:
1. So how much will a 30/34 Sugarcane shrink if I soak it?
2. And does anyone have pictures of themselves/someone else in any one of these pairs: 47's, Okinawa, or Hawaii?
Thanks for all the help
Can't wait to order them.
