Out of curiosity, how did you get a measurement to 3 decimal places?

but pwing also sized up 2..
Yeah, I didn't know what size he had ordered at that point.

^^ Did you try them on yet? Maybe you'll like 'em. Pwing's look wiked.
On a related note, I knid of want to + rep everyone in this contest so far. I love the individualization going on with the arcs, etc. Very cool. I'm an idiot for not jumping on board.
I'll enjoy from the side lines though.

S***R Chukkas. Tried these on in the house only and they're a little small for me. Brand new with the box. Size 44, would likely fit a 10 comfortably (i'm usually 10.5 to 11). The toe box is rather narrow.
Great shoes, I'll try to get pics of the actual pair if requested but they are exactly as below:
$90 (us) shipped in NA.
For anyone in Vancouver who might want to pick them up, PM me and we can work something out.

I haven't seen any Greys. Should have grabbed a pair at the sample sale, they had a couple colours actually. A tan pair as well.
Regarding the pockets: I notice them as well, not sure if its placement or the lining that makes them feel large. I've never had a pair with lined pockets but was kind of hoping that would dissipate as they broke in.

How was it?

Just starting a pair of these, was thinking about selling them but decided I like the details and the fit is great. Think they're last years cut, straight leg.

different denim mills use different colored thread to finish the selvage. two different colored selvage produced by the same mill are used to designate different denim. to answer your question literally, the difference is the color of the thread used to finish the selvage, which is completely arbitrary unless you know the labeling system of the mill.
That's not really the case with these two. The top one (SC 1947) is finished with a pink thread - that I get. But the other (W+H) isn't finished in the same way. There is no finishing thread per se and the twill changes direction through the white and black stripe.

Can anyone help me out by explaining (or directing me toward an explanation of) the difference between this type of selvage edge:
and this one:

Here's one just outside of my price range! Beautiful piece though.

Sorry for the late pass here but... Poly is that the Upland jacket? If so, I'm now real sad I didn't more effort into getting through to SS on the Black Friday sale. Looks good, and darker that I had thought.
