  1. Interested in the ring, but the sizing seems really weird to me... 5.5 cm inner diameter seems huge. And what do you mean by "2.5 cm across" in this case? Like, thick? Sorry for the need for clarification here, but if you could help that would be awesome... or perhaps I just need to return to me ol' geometry texts...

  2. I bought this directly from BadBoyBen, he of Dope Distribution back in summer of '06. Never wore it. My tastes have changed and completely shit Wisconsin winter weather has had the end result of a few minor car repairs. Thus! I sell this.

This is #7 out of 50 of the off-white mother-of-pearl color. Rare! Snazzy. Buy!

And yes, my postcount is low but I have folks that can vouch for me if yr worried.

Looking for a quick sale, so I'm offering for less than I paid for it: $300 + shipping. I take PayPal.

I may be a bit slow to respond over the weekend as I'll mostly be offline, but will get back to you ASAP! Thankew!

  3. Ah... great thread... I stick to the psych end of the spectrum...

    Ai Aso

    Chouzu

    Kan Mikami

    High Rise

Fushitsusha/Keiji Haino's solo/collaborative work (big fan of Era of Sad Wings under the Nijiumu moniker)

    Che Shizu

    Flower Travellin' Band

    LSD-March

    Taj Mahal Travellers

Les Rallizes Denudes (can't recommend enough)

I'm missing tons, but these are definitely some faves...

  4. (obligatory disclaimer on constant flux, how this is just a end-of-workweek timekiller... must have the guard up for those that might disagree)

(also, trying to dodge stuff I've seen covered in the thread, though I probably missed a few of these listed somewhere... speaking of which, UPS on the Talk Talk, I'd put Spirit of Eden on here if I wasn't right underneath you...)

    1. Afghan Whigs - Gentlemen

    2. Miles Davis - In a Silent Way (the complete sessions, if that's allowed here)

    3. V/A - By the Fruits, You Shall Know the Roots

    4. Bob Dylan - Basement Tapes

    5. Archers of Loaf - Icky Mettle

Definitely seen elsewhere, but must make mention for my own honor:

    Burial - s/t

    Map of Africa - s/t

.... already so many others arguing for slots inside my wishy washy brain...

  5. Moms once dared my brother and I to each eat a habanero. Popped that fucker in and suffered greatly. I come from the cold north and was out eating snowbanks for a good 30 minutes before realizing that it wasn't helping and just succumbing to the torment.

I've also consumed a toothpick dip of Da Bomb, in similar circumstances, with similar results.

    Basically, I never learn shit.

As for the actual enjoyment of spicy foods, my fam has always relied heavily on Melinda's hot sauce. The XXXX Reserve is a personal fave; it's definitely not as spicy as the name would suggest. But, as is the golden rule, has a nice heat/flavor balance.

Some little roadside farmer shop near my parents house also sometimes stocks these habanero pickled asparagus bullets. Not really a sauce, per se, but mixing the habanero-infused brine in w/ mashed potatoes is next level to my own personal taste buds.

  6. I feel your pain, SWB... I sold my Mesa rig about a year and a half ago. Of course, in part it was because I was just no longer into that Mesa tone (perhaps in part because it was a Triple Rec and, as you put it, could have relatively "ate shit"... didn't know that...) and also because I've become a fairly reclusive apartment dweller who really only needs a smallish combo amp... which I am about to start shopping for...

  7. This thread has made me realize the extent to which I've been focused on reissues this year. I oughta put some more time in with "living" music, methinks...

    (1) Group Doueh - Guitar Music from the Western Sahara

    (2) Skull Disco - Soundboy Punishments (don't even have this yet, just most of the 12s... desperately craving it for the first couple SD releases and the ability to listen away from my precious record player)

    (3) Twinsistermoon - When Stars Glide Through Solid

    (4) Andrew Chalk - Blue Eyes of the March - Actually, bunches of this dudes stuff, though this is really the only one I more or less think is an "official" 2007 release

    (5) Tie... Visitations "untitiled" and Elephant Micah - Hindu Windmills... okay, so the former is not yet released (got an advance copy) and the latter was out in December last year (so sue me)... both great campfire jawns, IMO.

Again, no inclusion of reissues (I don't think Group Doueh counts as a reissue...) or singles (there'd be a lot more dubstep/dub techno) skews this heavily...

  8. Another vote for StillLife here... I've got a wool Wetherby from a couple seasons back that has been my faithful companion 3 outta 4 seasons of the year... hope to get something lighter-weight for this summer from them. Might be a challenge, as I'm actually trying to grow my hair out. Also, I like too many different models...

  9. First post, hi everybody...

    • Chimay Grande Reserve
