few question for those in the USA that has used any proxy service to buy goods from Japan.

If the proxy ships an item to the USA and marks the product as low value gifts.... who do i pay the fees to? Im assuming the fees are paid at the post office?

Also, will the post office be holding the package at their office/location until the fees are paid and picked up? I just moved to this address and my license does not have an updated address. Will this be a problem?

I just bought a pait of bk's from parachutes and he arranged chainstitching before they were shipped. It cost 1050 yen which is less than 10 bucks. I'd say give him a try.

i just sent parachute the money for the bk's. i will just do a wash and see how much it shrinks. If the stacking doesnt look too weird, imma just leave it as it. I can live with a 35-36" inseam.

did you already get your package from parachute? how long did it take? this is my first time going through a proxy service.

3-4" is quite a bit.. it will most likely shrink around 2.5" (or to the tagged inseam length). fyi, if you buy it from BIG, they can hem them for you with a chainstitch.

I just ordered a pair of s5000vx from BiG and used their OXS and chainstitch service.

They are out of stock on the bk's (and just noticed they are taking preorders but it will take another month fro it to arrive)

Is this service only available for jeans that has been bought from your store? (along with whats bought from the past... still have reciepts).

Planning on buying a pair of Samurai S5000BK through a proxy service. There are no chainstitchers in my area and the inseam is too long. Would doing a hot wash with hot dryer shrink the inseam 3-4 inches?

I'm looking for a pair of raw denim with a 10-11 leg opening. What are my options? Cheap Monday is the only brand that comes near my desires.

I currently have the following jeans in my rotation: 45rpm Sorahiko Slim, Sugar Cane Union Star, Flat Head 5100 and Iron Heart 634s.

Can someone recommend a good pair of boots that goes well with these jeans.(black or brown, doesnt matter) I have been wearing Jordan shoes and baggy pants for a good part of my life and since im very new to selvedge denim, i got no idea what boots to look at .

If I were you I'd consider sizing down in the future. Your measurements sound like a 29, possibly even a 28. To each his own, though.

I actually like to wear my pants a little loose (still dont need a belt) at the waist. A 29 is too tight at the waist for me.

5'7" and 135 lbs. Just bought these two pairs of jeans... both size 31. Iron Heart has no soak or wash. The 45rpm Sorahiko Slim is raw and i did a warm machine wash to get somewhat max shrinkage.

I just recently machine washed a pair of raw denim (45rpm Sorahiko slim). The waist and inseam now fits me perfectly. I know its normal for the waist to stretch.... but how about the inseam? will it slowly stretch out to its normal state (37.5" inseam, shrank to around 34")

Anyone know a shop in Sacramento that does chainstitching?
