Lived up to my promise and took plongin and the Mistress to the aforementioned secret pizza place.

Pizza Rustica with mushrooms and italian sausage and Pizza Sole Mio again with parma ham and rucola.

Then dessert...

Sugary sweet cinnamon toast.

Dinner was more low-key (read: food court).

Duck rice with lotsa chilli. The meat is succulent and tender.

Fried catfish with rice. Yup, there he is, eating rice this time and not bread....

We're not always so glam, or at parties.

Also, happened to meet poliopoliopolio in town. Had no idea he was in Singapore....

Medium-done roast beef and succulent turkey sarnies with ploughman's pickle, fresh tomatoes and loads of plain and horse mustard.

My favourite (but oily!) dan dan mian (handmade egg noodles with spicy, minty peanut soup), the ubiquitous xiao long bao (steamed pork dumplings) and beef hor fun (hand-sliced noodles).

The hor fun smelled good and had tender slices of beef but was overly greasy, complained the boyfriend.

Lunch

Dry fishball noodles and ice-cold Coke. SGD4.

Chilled Moet Rose, parma ham with grapes and thin-sliced swiss emmenthal.
