  1. Anyone know if there's a store selling the Commes Des Garcons odeurs 53 and 71 perfumes in sydney? I'm fascinated by the idea of them but I have no idea what they actually smell like in person.

If you're lazy like me you can buy a sample online from Luckyscent. $3 ea. and $5 shipping. They have 71 but not 53.

  2. ^ Helmut Lang hasn't been stock at DJ's for a few years. Best bet is to probably find them on ebay.

Bit OT but DJ on Elizabeth St. has a few really old pieces (from the real Helmut Lang) heavily discounted that appear on the floor from time to time. Not to long ago I saw a slick pair of black dress pants with a leather bondage leg strap (I actually picked up the Sz.46), beige cotton moto pants, a really beautiful dark navy winter trench, and a craaazy pair of jeans with multiple bondage straps all around the legs.

I stopped wearing Diors jeans in '06 because they'd stretch too much and my increasing apathy for the direction the label was taking.

Now I don't wear jeans as much and just have two:

    APC raw new cure 26

    Acne max hex cash 28

  3. Bit of a myth and a marketing tool. They aren't all massaged daily. Wagyu are often cleaned and kept warm. It's also common to see one being rubbed down with straw to clean off dirt. They are well groomed, rather than pampered.

As for alcohol, yes, they are occasionally fed beer and sake. It aids appetite and digestion.

So there's some truth to that but in the end it's about genetics and feed.

As for grain vs grass fed, that's a whole other debate.

It's not uncommon that grass-raised cattle are grain-fed for the last few years. The point is so that their diet can be controlled. I won't go into the ethics of grain vs grass, but in the end, grain-fed produces a more consistent product.

goose foie gras and duck liver parfait with red onion marmalade and toasted brioche. textures complemented well here, and crumbly but just-substantial-enough brioche was perfection.

Eliot Spitzer and the 'B Word'

How long has Eliot Spitzer been patronizing prostitutes?

To me that's the only question worth exploring in the Eliot Spitzer sex scandal. Reading the New York Times article, you have to wonder if he's been "No. 9" or some other number with other hookers for a long time. While he was attorney general, for instance?

That's because the key word here is not "hypocrisy" or "morality," it's "blackmail." If Spitzer has been patronizing prostitutes, he'd be leaving himself open to being shaken down, perhaps by the mob. The Russian mob is heavily involved in prostitution.

While I doubt that Spitzer would have succumbed to blackmail, had it been attempted, it was a risk he should not have allowed the citizens of the state to take. If, that is, this was not an isolated incident. If it was, then this is a big, fat nothing. (Unless the accusations about his committing a felony in the structuring of his payments to the prostitutes turn out to be true. That ain't nuthin'.)

UPDATE: Congressman Peter King made the same point in National Review Online:

"Spitzer himself was very severe going after prostitution rings that had to do with white collar crimes. He was very hard-nosed with his tactics. To leave himself open to blackmail — putting himself and the state in a compromised position like that — it's just awful."

    So did Dealbreaker:

That a man so versed in the blackmail style of prosecution would so readily open himself up to that dark art is, at the very least, extraordinary. One would think that a man who deployed his aides to whisper about a corporate executive allegedly “banging†his assistant, would be wise enough to the ways of the world to avoid putting himself in a position where he could be blackmailed. That he lacked such wisdom—or ignored it—shows a reckless disregard for the responsibilities of the high office to which the people of New York elected him.

  8. ohh fasho. I guess that 5k an hour was just digg speculation then lol. I giver her 9/10 for body but she has a horse face so like 5/10 in my book. If I were spitzer i'd rather fuck my wife for free hahah

Agreed but after a point the price is not about the quality of the woman. It's about privacy.

Admittely ironic, but Spitzer got caught because he he was sloppy. Paid by bank transfer - his bank turned him onto the Feds.

  9. The one evil jacket of power that never fits was secretly forged by the Dark Lord Still to enslave the nation of superfuture.

In a cut-throat sale of epic proportions Who? claimed the jacket from the Dark Lord Still's hands with the shard of remains in his Paypal account.

Who? was advised to destroy the evil jacket outright by casting it into the volcanic y! japan where it was forged but, attracted to its beauty, he refused and kept it as compensation for the death of his Paypal account. However the jacket betrayed him and revealed his identity while he was swimming in the waywt thread. He was seen and photochopped by the great ordo, and the jacket was lost for two millennia.

It was then found by chance by an unregistered user. His friend yoh05 killed him for the jacket and fled to secrecy. Corrupted by the power of the jacket, he became a loathsome, slimy creature called Eric Glennie. EG was wholly consumed by the power and remained in his basement for hundreds of years until challenged by the future of fashion allyn where he lost the jacket.

Some time later, it was accidentally found by a man named alexpham, who was unaware of the evil anti-fit powers of the jacket.

Now, only you can prevent this evil jacket of power from falling into the wrong hands.

    Buy it now.
