Haven't been here in a long time!
Wanted to stop through and let everybody know, I have some new work that I'm very excited about; my ep with friend and italian phenom NT89 entitled "In Bocca Al Lupo"
The A Side, "Plug" has already received support from a few DJ's, most notably Mr. Zombie Nation
We're both quite proud of these two tracks and this has led us to our decision to self release them via bandcamp. We've gone with a pay-what-you-wish model, so you can grab them for nothing or whatever you decide.
I've linked a promo 192 of "Plug" below as well as the bandcamp page where you can get the full release in any format you like.
Get the EP here!
A1. Plug 07:06
B1. Comb 08:41
NT89 & Savile's debut EP "In Bocca Al Lupo" is a lesson in nervous energy.Jittery tribal drums roll over hi hats that slink in and out of view. A bassline stumbles in, winding up slowly amongst the syncopation. Then, a break. A deep breath... before we're sucked in again, this time with a scream that's warped and detuned until the track finally hisses in defeat.
This is side A, "Plug," already receiving support from the legendary Zombie Nation.
"Comb" is condensed chaos. Occupying a space between Berlin's polished textures and Detroit's "Fuck-em-all" irreverence. Savile's pitch-shifted voice whispers muddled phrases over sub bass and snaps. A squelched arpeggio rises and falls. A dense layer of shakers is flanged left and right as the mummers slowly become clear. NT89 & Savile leave us with a looped refrain of "comb my hair and step out the door." An oddly docile end to such a wicked affair.

don't really get the hype around designer drugs live.
saw them last week with don rimini, jack beats, and boys noize.
not only were they sonned by all three acts that followed, their track selection and mixing was sub par, at best.
and boys noize, was, well. boys noize.
and he opened with this.... new song. "Come With Me"

okay, they're making ableton live look way harder than it is, and these videos are old news, but i think south central are one of the most underrated uk acts
sound's like a load of sequenced racket.
track selection was ok... ditto on beat repeat.

What do I want in my knife?
That's a good question...
I don't know? My interest lies in seeing how a well thought out EDC will influence my day to day.
Your point about the opening system is duly noted.
edit: just got a black victorinox manager to start my edc. figured a simple multitool would be sensible.
next i'm eyeing the spyderco cricket and MiNi AA next.
