anyone else got black jeans fading? I'm sick of buying black denim that doesn't fade APCs - nope. Cheap Uniqlo (japanese denim) - nope. 2 pairs of Skulls - nope.

I love my indigo PBJs and was considering the black ones...

I answered my own question. Zappos'd a pair of 29x36". 28"x36" were not available. $39 overnight to my door is tough to complain about.

They are a not as rigid as I'd hoped. Denim thickness seems about the same as APC NS/NC. I will probably starch hell out of em after I do a bit of hot water shrinking in the legs. I think I might be able to tighten them up just where I want them: just a little baggier than SKull 5010s, so that I can skate/bike in them. Here are my measurements.

levis 29x36 STF

waist 31"

front rise 12"

back rise 14.25"

Thigh 12"

leg opening 8"

Inseam 35.5"

EDIT: the pair I got today (11/10/10) were made in Mexico, which makes me relatively happy.

I'm looking to size down to get a pair of STF to fit somewhere like my Skull 5010s and APC NS (sized down 2).

I am looking for actual waist size measurements of size 28 and 29 current model 501 STF indigos. Has anyone bought a pair of these lately?

(I just discovered that there are 28x36 and 29x36 available; I'm not short.)

my red wing 1914 (gentleman traveller) arrived today from cultizm....nice and quick too, with shipping in 3 days to australia.

zappos don't ship to australia anyway, but they were cheaper from cultizm than zappos, even including ~$35 for express shipping from europe....

i sized down 1/2 a size to 8 1/2....i was a little concerned at first that they may be too big, but they are softening up nicely after only a few hours of wear. i'm very very happy with these.

Can someone point me in the direction of a better price on the Red Wings Gentleman Travelers? Would love to save money off the Zappos price.

So, all my jeans for the past long-a$$ time have been either raw or somehow treated so they don't have the one-wash fuzz.

Now i've got these fancy Skull one-wash which I like a lot for fit and look, except for the fuzz part. Has anyone used a Dfuzz-it or something to get rid of it? What else can I do besides wait 5 months for it to wear off?

Will it go away soon?! how do you one-wash dudez hang with this?

does anyone have both NC and NSs? My 28 NCs are great (wouldn't mind slightly higher rise) but would love some black ones. I'm hoping 1 size smaller on the NS will get close to NC in size and fit.

i wear 28 NCs, 30 Skull 5010xx, so i might go for the 27 NS.

any help is appreciated.

i just got the 5010xx in black from BIG last week. These things look and fit amazing.

If they fall apart, it will be totally worth the $50-$150 (guessing) it costs to have them fully re-sewn. I'm serious; it's hard to find good jeans. But I hope it doesn't come to that.

flop-flips are lazy-casual. I can't do it. (Maybe a different story if I was a surfer.) Crocs are nice and comfy but I won't leave the house in 'em either.

traditional leather + wood swedish clogs on the other hand are the sex. Ladies on your lap in no time.

my waist 30 CM tight in od black and eggshell are skinnier than my waist 28 APC New Cures. However the New Cures are lower rise, therefore a little less comfortable (no stretch).

i have 2 big complaints about this collection:

#1 is the model from SS08 blew my mind and i want her back.

#2 is the perennial favorite: where are the black denim new cures?

other than that: the stuff is nice, i like the wool hat, but i think i'll get the kangol version.

I really want some black raw APC New Cures. Since those aren't available, can anyone recommend one of these other brands that is same/similar fit to New Cures? I like my NCs so much that I can't bear to wear anything else really...
