  1. I am looking to purchase a used pair of dh mij size 29 indigo or black jeans in the 19cm model. I like both so either color is fine.

Ideally they'd already be stretched out, washed as little as possible, and not hemmed. I don't care how little or much wear is on them, provided they aren't super destroyed. The reason being that I am on a budget.

Have some you don't need or have the wrong size, let me know. I'm pretty flexible with prices, though it will depend on the condition.

  2. whoever said that this tour is previous level is full of it. This tour is legit. Great photos aho. I'm getting some inspiration to pick up a pair of the 19cm black in addition to the indigo.

  3. Well, I finally received my mij indigo 19cm size 31 in the mail. Unfortunately --and this is the first time this has happened for a sight unseen purchase-- they are too big. Usually you guys have been 100% spot on with sizing but, hey its hard to be completely certain, especially from different manufacturers. Some said get a 30, most 31, I went with 31....

I certainly will not be keeping these, so the question now is should I get a 30 or possibly a 29, which I wear in every other jean I've ever had, slim fits included. These have been worn for 6 months and are as stretched out as much as they likely can. As you can see in the pictures, I am able to grab almost 2 inches. Thoughts from experts? It makes no sense to have crazy expensive pants if you don't get the specialized fit they are supposed to offer and I really want to get it right this time. No shops in seattle sell the mij line so I can't try them on.

Although I did try on the 30 mii washed pair of some sort at barneys and it was quite snug. It was a dark wash with a button enclosure, looked a little rawish but obviously wasn't because it had no clasp and felt thin and not raw. Couldn't be certain on the model.

  4. Well then, it may or may not be just right. From what I've seen of you on waywt, you don't like the ultra tight look, so I'd venture to guess it'd probably work. Truth be told it fits on me fine, its just not as slim as I'd like it to be.

I own those Gucci's on the bottom left. Subtle dark brown.

A few comments about these specifically:

-People either compliment the glasses or tell me that I look like peter parker [my co-workers giving me a hard time]

-They aren't cheap, but my insurance took them down to a pretty reasonable price, I think they retail somewhere around $250-300, however online they may be a little less, especially because I got them in the fall of 2005

-My left side of the frame broke, but that is because I left the glasses in my jacket while I was skiing and took a nasty fall. I had to super glue them back together. One disadvantage of plastic frames is that most breaks are not fixable.

-They are the EXACT models that Jemaine wears in the flight of the conchords hbo series. However, I got these in the fall of 2005 so this is a pure coincidence.

-I've never met anyone in person that has them, and the branding is so subtle that you really don't have to worry making it obvious you are wearing gucci

  6. Very cool tour. Will be interested to see how the end result is. I'm told the black doesn't fade as well as the indigo, I assume because indigo dye has different properties?

Meta's pictures remind me of my time in Paris- seems like a long time ago. I like how public drinking is just no big deal across the pond.
